Question for Carnival sailings out of NY

Two questions for people who have sailed out of NY

 

(1) What is the earliest you can get a porter to take your bags?

 

(2) What is the earliest you can board the ship?

From our last years trip. We noticed that people were boarded by 10:30am. This year trip on the miracle we are planning on getting there by 11am to take advantage of a full day.

Just returned from Legend out of NYC. We got to the pier by 10am, porter took bags at that time...we did not board until 12:30pm.

Is there public transportation to the piers or do you have to take a cab?

There is no public transportation to the Pier itself,and when you do take a cab, be sure you know your pier number or they wont know exactly where to take you to get you as close as they can.
