According to a Time magazine article updated today, there are only 10 states with higher vaccination rates than Florida's. (5 states didn't report their figures so were not included.) (New York is in close competition with Alabama with only 1% vaccinated - second lowest.) Florida has 2.6% vaccinated. In many parts of the US - it is the distribution that is the problem. States have received vaccines but are un-organized in distribution. We have one area that excelled but other areas have said "the holidays slowed us down".

Issue, of course, is that the US will have over 40 million doses as of Monday and only less than 7 million have made it into arms. We need to better. The process even varies by county, not just state. Do need to offer kudos to the Lake County Health Department for their efficiency and precision in managing the inoculation process. The only downside is that we were told to get the 2nd dose within 3 weeks and you cannot mix manufacturers (Modern 2nd does not work with a Pfizer first). Where do you get the 2nd? "Wherever you can" was the answer... Edited January 10, 2021 by Ride-The-Waves
