Moving rooms on back to back cruise

Has anyone had to switch rooms on a back to back cruise? What is the procedure for this? Do I have to take my luggage off the ship and bring it back on, or can carnival move it to my new room?

It’s easy peasy, pack your bags, make sure your room steward knows you are btb and they will get everything moved for you while you do the customs check and get back on the ship. I have not had to move on my btb yet so not sure when/how you get new room key though.

It was easy, just pack up and leave your luggage and it miraculously shows up in your new cabin 😛

You'll be asked to meetup in a particular place on the ship. When the they get the OK they will lead you off the ship as a B2B group, and they will check your passport, and then you'll wait again until they get the all clear signal that you can go back on the ship. Then the group meets up at the atrium bar for a free drink and a free group B2B photo (1 per cabin). They will hand you your new cards. Then you're free to do whatever you want. If we're changing rooms this is the perfect time to unpack and organize your room.

If you can, keep checking to see if the same room opens up on the 2nd leg of your B2B.  Then you won't have to move at all.

Or a completely different cabin than the two you have reserved.  Take the blinders off and look at other possible areas of the ship for a cabin that would be available for the B2B.  Not having to repack and unpack is a nice perk.

Just to add, you do not have to pack clothes that are hanging in closet. Your room steward will just grab those on the hangers and move them.

Been through this before on Princess. My new ship card was delivered to my mailbox the night prior to disembarkation.
