How to Use Celebrity Credit Card Awards

I have a Bank of America Celebrity-branded credit card and have just redeemed a certificate for my November cruise. Can anyone tell me how it works? Will I see the credit added to my reservation? Is there some action I need to take? Will it be available prior to sailing to pay for things or do I need to wait until I'm on the ship? Thanks for any help you can provide.

When we redeemed points for a reduction in the price of the cruise (not an OBC) the code VO37 Savings and credit showed up on the booking invoice. Keep good records and a copy of the Order Details in case your cruise gets cancelled.  You will need the information to reapply the points to a new cruise.

It looks like the OP has already acted this time, but next time, if there is a next time, you might consider choosing the “Reduce cruise fare” option.  Wait until after you have done final payment and then redeem the points, then you will get an immediate credit on your credit card. To me that makes more sense than using the points for OBC.

If you trade it in for OBC then it should show up on your account within a week. We have done it a number of times.

OP, When you say you redeemed some point, what is it for OBC? That is not a credit so it probably will not show up on your reservation

Yes...I looked into it a couple of days ago.  It's through Bank of America and it's a Visa brand.
