I'm remembering That Costa Maya has a fenced in area with beach access, bars and shopping right as you get off the ship.  Am I remembering correctly?

 No actual beach access at the port. There are a couple of pools.

Does anyone know if they sell amaretto flavored tequila at this port?  Thanks!

Not sure, but there are a couple of places you might wish to try inside the port.  The first would be the tequila factory type place #22 on c-legs' map.  Also inside is La Bendita and La Botica.  La Bendita would be the better bet as they do have tequilas.  La Botica serves a lot of mixology type drinks so it's possible they have it.  There is a large liquor store as well along the row of shops to your right as you enter the port complex from the pier.
