I'm still on catch up so please bear with me. We had a lovely day in Messina and enjoyed the sail-in and

 

our visit to Mt. Etna

I've eventually caught up with you in Corfu. We have many happy memories of the island. Our first visit was in 1976 when our son was just 1 years old and we had a lovely time. He was cute and blond so the local people loved patting his hair...

Hot and bothered after a trip to Corfu Town...

 

 

We returned in 2006 on a cruise and used the local busses to visit Mouse Island and then got caught in a torrential downpour on our way back to the ship.

 

 

 

 

In August we have a family holiday booked for a week's stay in Corfu followed by a cruise. This trip was postponed from last year so we have all fingers and toes crossed but it is looking less likely to happen as each day passes....

We had a two week holiday on Corfu in the 80's, and returned on Aurora in 2011

Couldn’t resist sharing this photo me going up Mt. Etna in 2002. My family think it’s hilarious. I am wearing ani anorak and boots supplied by the excursion organiser. Not my best photo ever but a great memory. I look enormous and I’m only a size 10.

Can I just say a huge thank you to you all for adding all your wonderful photos!!! I have been lurking here for quite a while now - a good few years! Since I began cruising in 2012. They have really cheered me up and given me something to day dream about again.

Welcome to the forum, we are really enjoying this thread, reminiscing over places visited and learning about new destinations. We're looking forward to Dubrovnik tomorrow as we will hopefully be going there for the first time next April on a cruise.

I’ll be looking forward to seeing tomorrow’s photos! Dubrovnik certainly does look beautiful. What a lovely cruise to do. Croatia is on our must do list. We loved Game of Thrones and I would also love to see the waterfalls. 
We are booked on the Azura this summer visiting Greece but I’m not sure how that is going to pan out so I’m trying not to think about that one.

We are also booked on the Iona in October which we will be gutted if it doesn’t happen. My 9 year old is desperate to go on it and already says it’s his favourite ship 😂

I think we'll all have similar photos of the city so I've tried to pick some that are different. We didn't know the waving man in the gondola but we waved back anyway.

Finally the sail out accompanied by classical music which is, and always will be, a precious memory for us. Note the old boy saluting the ships on the 2nd photo (I like to pretend that he was saluting anyway!).

Love the misty photos - never seen that as we have never sailed in there. We have flown there twice to start cruises.

Hi and welcome to the forum. A lot of us lurked for a while before joining in, myself included!
