Thank you.I had forgotten about diverting to Ajaccio from Propiano. We were unable to get back onboard at Civitacchia for several hours- quite exciting!

A couple on our dining table were in the same situation - they were stuck in the terminal building for several hours.

We didn’t mind missing Propriano as we’d visited previously on a land holiday and we really liked Ajaccio.

2 ship days for me too. I visited Valencia 20 years ago to stay with a friend who was working at a school there and really enjoyed the city but my photos are long gone unfortunately. Our only visit to Gibraltar was in 1972 when my new husband and I had our first holiday abroad together and, again, the photos have disappeared into the mists of time. I am looking forward to seeing all the posters' photos which I'm sure will bring back many happy memories.

We always took our camcorder and recorded most ports.

A lot of my photos have been either printed or deleted from my phone.

Our day in Valencia. A visit to the aquarium, paella for lunch then just time for a stroll around the old town before heading back to the ship.

Brilliant photos, especially those of the aquarium with the reflections and fading light!

Thank you😀

I loved the architecture in the Science Park area.

Those photos were taken about 9 o’clock in the morning. It was October, so it wasn’t long after the sun had come up.

Belatedly - lovely pics of Valencia to remind me of our one and only call there.  Memories - walking all the way through the lovely leisure park they constructed on the path of the river.  What a great project, to reroute the river to prevent the constant flooding the city had suffered previously, and to provide that wonderful leisure resource for the city.

Other memories - 6 lanes of speedy traffic but which observed traffic lights and pedestrian crossings impeccably, and a silly final one.  We took the shuttle which dropped us near the cathedral square.  So, we started our long walk back to the ship from there.  Had a look round, moved out of the square for a sit down and drink.  Decided to retrace our steps and found that some joker had emptied detergent in the fountain (the very first pic of the Valencia ones).  Foam everywhere!  All over the ground, caught by the breeze and wafted into the air, flowing over the fountain and creeping towards the cafes.  Vaguely amusing but I don’t suppose it was funny for those who had to clear up

And then we got to walk on a little bit of the F1 track as we nearer the ship

Twas a lovely day.  Hope we might get back there sometime

Sorry to be late!

Great pictures of Valencia ,thankyou, it is now a must go!

Gibraltar  we stayed there for 4 or 5 days in 2011  I have around 200

pictures!!!   We also visited more recently on a cruise and this first set is

of our walk through the town to the Botanical gardens.   It is only a

small garden but well worth a visit if you have seen the main attractions.

I will add the garden pics later and maybe a couple from the stay if

I have some not already covered.

Good morning, Like one or two others, have been staying on board for a few days, very happy to be arriving in Madeira tomorrow, on route to Caribbean 😇. I must say the entertainment on this cruise has been a little "hit & miss",  we have had talks from various people, a man from Bristol, gave us the history of Chocolate over 3days! sadly no samples. Retired Royal correspondent Dickie Arbiter, with his tails from Royal duties, most interesting, Sadly he got recalled back to London, something big going on with R.F. rumours Hazbeen & Meagain are about to give a chat on top of a bus on way to an Opera about life in U.S. Cannot understand why currant Royal correspondents dont  say much, poor old D. A missing out on his cruise. We also had a chat from Marleen of Only Fools etc, on her life, Peckham to ?Shropshire. meanwhile the evening entertainment down in the Dimlight Club, has seen that bloke from "Britains got no talent Pointless pop idol" sing his repertoire of 3 songs.  Roll on Funchal.😀

Gibraltar  - not a favourite Port of ours, been there too many times.

We've been a few times too, and seen all the usual 'sights'. Although not a favourite, we still always like to take the mini-bus to the centre and wander around the shopping area. We sometimes may buy the odd bottle or some perfume, but usually just sit with a lovely coffee and a snack and watch the world go by.

We've been to Gibraltar a few times over the years since our first cruise in 2001, and each time we've noticed more and more flats being built around the port area.  Our pictures from the top of the rock are pre digital, but here's a few from over the years

Sailing away from Gibraltar, September 2019.

As Gib Is often the last port, it always feels bittersweet sailing from Gibraltar, as you start to reflect on another cruise coming to an end.

These photos seem even more significant now, as the last cruise in pre Covid times
