And although they have not officially cancelled, Carnival is letting anyone with a reservation for a 7-day or less cruise through 7/31/2021 cancel for a full refund. Anyone with a reservation for an 8-day departure through 10/31/2021 can also cancel for a full refund. Guests must cancel by 3/31/2021.

Unfortunately, the handwriting is on the wall.

I'm not familiar with Carnival's final payment dates but isn't everything currently not suspended outside of penalty period and could cancel for refund anyway? Maybe some NRD issues or places like UK without refundable deposits?

Carnival is a little different in the US. They frequently have promotions for bottom of the bucket prices that have a non-refundable deposit or fully non-refundable fare. They offer 'Early Saver' on most (or all? I'm not sure) sailings that offer a fare equivalent to what is Celebrity/Royal's NRD. I don't have any data to support it, but I would be willing to get a signifiant portion of their pax have some sort of NRD or no refund at all fare.

Get those 2022 bookings ready....
