Very unlikely, to the best of my knowledge Azamara have never visited Whitby.

More likely a Oceania ship or even Princess in earlier days..

Very possibly Pacific Princess which was based in Dover for a few summer seasons.

The R Ships have also had several other owners.

We were in Whitby a few years and noticed a small cruise ship tendering, my camera zoom couldn't quite magnify the name as it was only a small ship. I borrowed a pair of binoculars from someone on the pier. The ship was MS Berlin. She was on a cruise from Germany to the Fjords. I noted a snippet on the news last year that the company that bought her was renovating her and she has been re-named Dream Goddess. Quite an interesting history. Whitby is an ideal place for a small ship stop but too small for one of the big ships, Whitby is always busy, even out of season, but in summer would not be able to handle several thousand extra tourists, finding a cafe or restaurant in summer months is not easy and there are plenty of them. We usually go to Whitby several times a year and know it well and would never tire of going there, it is a good base for exploring North Yorkshire and the North East coast.
