We will be the Conquest May 30th an have been looking at the shore excursions. Has anyone been on the Rose Hall Beach Break? Was it nice? What hotel is is at or is it just a beach? Any information would be helpful. We have been to the Falls and are looking for something different and relaxing.

Thanks...Sheila

I havent been to MO as of yet but we have a tour set up for June when we are there to go to Rose Hall. My understanding is that there is a beach, the rose hall great house, and a flea market. If you go to the search engine and type in Rose Hall there is all kind of info that comes up.

Going to MoBay, check out barrettadventures.com, Carolyn was great! No hassle from the Jamaicans, customized trip, and cheaper than the ship excursions. She took my granddaughter and I on a wonderful day!

Till two weeks on the Golden Princess!

We had a great day escorted by Barrett Adventures. They are pricey for just two people but are very reasonable for 4 or more. They offer a number of tours on their website but they will also arrange a daytrip to your liking. I highly recomend them.

We will be cruising on the Conquest, but not until next March, FROWN, but I've heard from a couple different people, Sunset Beach Resort and Spa. For $20 (adults) you get food, jerk chicken, burgers, fries, etc., drinks, Red Stripe on tap, rum, vodka, etc., chairs, towels, paddle boats. I think there is a swim up to bar. Grab a taxi for $3 each person, each way. We can't wait.

We went to Rose Hall but we didn't book the excursion from the ship, it was much cheaper to get a cab and go there and just pay the entrance fee, our driver waited for us and then took us to the public beach, waited for us again and then took us sightseeing of the million dollar homes around the area....then he took us to a shopping area, went with us to show us places to avoid and dropped us back off at the ship. It was great to have our own personal driver!! Just be very aware of the locals when you are in town, even the small children have been taught very sneaky ways of being a pick pocket....

We did the river float. It was fun enough. The road to get up the mountain (hill) was a little scary as well as the drivers themselves. Nancy

Another thumbs up for Barrett adventures. Carolyn (Errol's better half) took us to the YS Falls. Believe me, if you have only visited Dunns River, you are missing out. YS Falls is incredible. Great for all ages. Can you imagine multiple mini-falls on different levels converging into each other? Jumping from a rope swing into the middle of the pool under the waterfalls? Sitting on rocks in the pool while the waterfalls caress your back (a gentle massage)? We played at YS Falls for over 1 1/2 hours with Carolyn, then had nice outdoor lunch at Culloden Cafe with the caribbean sea in the backyard. Magical.

Added plus was the great history lesson about Jamaica from Carolyn. We even enjoyed the funny stories that she told about Jamaican Voodoo and her "situations" with local bureaucrats and police.

Surprisingly, MoBay was our favorite port versus Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I think Carolyn had a lot to do with our great time.
