That was very interesting.  (I think YouTube is changing our speaking patterns.  I never hear so much upspeak, uptalk, high rising terminal--whatever you want to call it--as from YouTube narrators.  I don't know if I will ever get used to it.)

Reminds me of that news commentator from, I want to say, the 70's or 80's that had perfect pronunciation/enunciation.  His name completely escapes me.

OP -- thanks for the video.  That was indeed very interesting.

Not who I am thinking.  He was well known but not a front liner I would say.   I can almost picture the guy but can't remember his name.

Peter Jennings?

Like a bolt out of the blue it finally came to me!  I was thinking about Edwin Newman.  His book, Strictly Speaking, is probably what brought him to mind in the first place.

What, me worry?

Might be time to change it for the second time to  "Yes, me worry?" until COVID is handled.

I just googled Mad Magazine .I had no idea that it was around till 2018 and that it was first published in 1952.I think I began reading it in 1956.

Wow, that surprises me too.  I had no idea it was still around that long.
