Governor’s “ban” on vaccination requirements for cruising is unenforceable.  No jurisdiction. And he knows that. As others have said he will fold if it’s the way to restart.

Agree and as I replied to John, the Governor is more opposed to Vaccine Passports.  He will probably say the CDC Vaccination card is fine.  Just keep your card with your passport and you should be fine.

remember.....just because you are booked on a ship after July there is no guarantee it will happen. So many ships are on the wrong side of the pond from where they are booked it makes one wonder if they will switch iteneraries with better "located" ships. You might look at ship locater to see where your ship is currently located.

My ship for the next two cruises is Allure is positioned in the Bahamas area with lots of other ships.  I call this area the "pod."  She and other ships come into Florida ports (mostly Miami) for provisioning and for crew to embark and disembark.  When I know they are sailing out, I watch on the webcam to get to get a mini-cruise fix.

I honesty cannot say I know what "proof" Florida residents have that they have been vaccinated.  Do they receive a record of their vaccinations (as opposed to an actual vaccination passport)?  It would be crazy if cruises resumed out of Florida and the residents of Florida were not permitted to cruise because they did not have the appropriate paperwork provided by their state after their Governor was the one pushing for cruises to resume.

No Vaccine Passport in US. Only little card with Vaccine Received and date. Mine didnt even have personal info on it, filled out myself. Thats all we use in US

I live in Florida and I received the standard CDC vaccine card. The location I went to be vaccinated has an electronic record as well as my health insurance company and primary care physician.  I also signed a consent that my vaccine information could be reported to state and federal authorities.  There will be a record I can provide.

And now that the Governor has effectively said that cruise ship crew can be required to be vaccinated, he will have to back off his prohibition against passengers being required to do so.

If you get a shot you are on a database SOMEWHERE.  Whether or not some agency can access that information depends on whether or not the vaccinated party allows their information to be verified or released as a method of verifying that they were vaccinated.

We have the same CDC issued card here in SC and went through the same procedure.

Does anyone really think that Gov. DeSantis is going to prohibit Florida residents having to show vaccine proof to board a cruise ship.  Especially after holding a forum for Cruise ship heads, port officials etc in Port Canaveral.  There was an hour plus press conference that I watched on You Tube.  Florida also filed suit to allow the ships to sail.  And now as you pointed out, the Gov. has effectively said that cruise ship crew can be required to be vaccinated, he will have even more grounds to back off his prohibition to show vaccination proof.  I read his comments as being more against a "Vaccination Passport" being required for many activities than anything else.  I would think this would be a new document that people would have to apply for.

I have posted that I think the cruise lines will require cruisers to supply the vaccine date and lot number when they complete their Set Sail passes.

I have our vaccination cards in sleeves (bought from Amazon sized for the CDC cards) in the pouch with our passports.  We also took pictures for our phones and to print out for my cruise file. (I'm a bit anal about documentation)  We're also not laminating in case booster shots are required down the road.

I found out about the md.myir.net website here in Maryland from our FB vaccine hunter group. It has the dates for both my Covid-19 shots (and lot numbers), my last 4 years of flu shots, and my 2 Zoster shingles shots.

Maryland MyIR is a free website service that allows consumers to view and print copies of their official vaccination records directly from ImmuNet, Maryland's immunization information system. ImmuNet is used by healthcare providers to securely maintain vaccination records for Maryland residents of all ages.

Good luck with that, don't forget about king Murphy. He will only consider that if NY opens their port first so he can "keep up with the Jones".

The Port of NY & NJ is open.  see:

Governor Murphy's Executive Orders don't limit cruising out of NJ.

The CDC issued the No Sail Order and it is countrywide.

Same here...some on these boards have misunderstood that EO from day one.  You have to read it in its entirety before you start spouting off your own agenda driven "facts".   Google and the social media track everything you do....so people don't believe your vaccination records can't be?  Vaccination records are not the same as providing personal medical conditions anyway.  And as you say, you either sign the waiver to provide info or not as you please, but vaccinations are different.

Not yet, give him time. I know it's the CDC order at this time which is limiting cruising and the port is open for other than cruising. I don't doubt for a minute that Murphy would ban cruising depending on what he feels on any given day. My point was based on what Murphy said, which is he will announce new opening guidelines on Monday because he wants to keep up with New York.

And by the way, you haven't told me anything I didn't already know in your links. I've already read them, since I'm a leader of a church, I've read every executive order the governor has signed since covid began.

You are entitled to your opinion about the Governor, but you know darn well that your post implied the port is currently closed and will have to be re-opened.  Taking you at your word that you knew the port is open and there is no Executive Order preventing cruising out of NJ, your post was deliberately misleading at best.

The fact is, the port is not open to cruising. Period. Once the CDC allows cruising, we'll have to wait to see what Murphy does or doesn't do by edict (E.O.) His tyrannical rule with all his orders have failed both economically and humanly. Worst record in the country, not my opinion. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/

Please provide a link to an official source that says the port is closed to cruising.  If you don't have one, please just stop claiming your opinions and speculation as fact.

Time to move on. You can't board any ocean going cruise ship, specifically the big three, in the U.S. until the CDC says so. Effectively closing all ports to cruising. You know it, I know it and everyone else on C.C. knows it. Enough of the semantics. [Response blocked]

Back to the actual OP  "Which Ships will be first??"

Between now and November The Anthem of the seas will have had plenty of time to immunize fully her entire crew.

By November all passenger vaccination requirements can easily be resolved.

By November the Anthem will be fully operational with fully trained staff and will have been actively sailing with passengers in Europe.

By November the itinerary planned for the Anthem to the Bahamas and Florida should be NO PROBLEM as far as Covid-19 regulations are concerned.

It would seem that once Cape Liberty is in operation** the Anthem's return to New Jersey would be a no brainer.

**By operation I  don't care if it is Murphy, Cuomo, Fauci or or the C.D.C. that has the ultimate say in the entire mess. Just OPEN the darned PORT..

Making any kind of seemingly obvious prognosis in the COVID era seem to not always pan out.

You are so right..

I guess dealing with any of this entire Covid mess "BRAINS" may not always come into play.

Why do you thing RCL or other cruise lines have not been commited yet to a official date the first cruise will be operated from a US port...

Once things will get going, likely the 3-4 day itinararies might be the first once to start cruising again. Hence Mariner and Navigator likely amongst the first ships to start sailing from US ports.
