Chance of St. Petersburg opening this year?

What is the chance of St. Petersburg being open to cruises by August? I have a Celebrity Baltic cruise at the end of August. They haven’t canceled it yet, and I wondered if there was still a chance that it would run. Last week’s announcement from the EU gave me some hope, but of course Russia isn’t a member. Just looking for your thoughts; I realize that none of us truly knows.😉

It is possible but not probable. I think we are booked on the same cruise & I suspect that it will be cancelled.

I hope it is for you guys!  We are booked on a Baltic for May 18, 2022.

There is a likelihood that the EU will open up to countries that have been vaccinated with vaccines approved in the EU during the summer - including the US as Americans are vaccinated with EU approved vaccines.

Whether access from the EU to St Petersburg will also be opened up is an open question. My guess is that there is a very high probability that it will not be possible for cruise ships to visit St. Petersburg in 2021.
