Still the same?

Has anything changed?

1.  Do you know if NCL is still providing a $250 onboard credit for a 15 day sailing? For stockholders of course.

2.  Do you know if NCL is still offering the program where you can bid for an upgrade I did this in the past and went from inside balcony successfully several times to balcony.

3.  As far as entertainment are they gonna still going to have Priscilla and the Beatles and best of all Howl  at the moon on the Epic?

4. Last question are latitudes rewards still in effect.?
Thanks

 inside balcony  ?

in the past and went from inside balcony successfully several times to balcony.

I know you meant something else - what was this inside balcony looking at ?

Perhaps the engine room - air filtration system - glass crew elevators ?

Oh you meant moving from an inside ATRIUM balcony to an OCEAN view balcony !  LOL !

I assume you meant from an inside cabin to a balcony cabin. We don't know at this point but the final payment dates for the first cruises are coming up soon - I think it's June 2 or 3 for the first one out of Athens, and it's definitely June 8 for the first one out of Montego Bay. If the upgrade offers go out after that  - or if they don't - it will be discussed on this board. Guaranteed.

On NCL's website, Epic's September sailings list Priscilla, Howl at the Moon, and Burn the Floor as the big shows. The Cavern Club is still there and the description implies they'll continue to have the Beatles cover band.

Yup. Or at least I haven't seen anything to contradict that.

if there is an offer to bid for an upgraded cabin, ncl will advise you in enough time to let you bid.

latitudes program is still in effect. if you check the website and log in to past cruisers, they are now offering 2 points for every night of the cruise.

Actually the current past guest offer is even better than that; offering 3 (three) Latitude points per night in total (one "regular" plus two "bonus" points).

Whoops!  I meant inside cabin. Best i ever did though was  book a sail away balcony on the Epic and was assigned a spa balcony!  Trying to determine what to book on the epic!

I am not sure if this is a deal or not? I have a cruise booked for Canada and New England booked for Oct. 2022. My total including a $310 prepaid service charge is $4846.76. If I rebook to get the the lattitude points my mock booking shows the cost to be $5187.82. As we all know NCL gives nothing away for free.

It all depends, so people just need to do their own research regarding the prices.

I have two cruises booked for 2022, for one of them I got the extra bonus points deal added at no extra cost as the prices and booking conditions are now the same as at the time of original booking.  The other cruise cost now $500 more for 2 persons,  so obviously did not change that one.

We booked thru a travel agency. Can we get the past guest (2 additional)  latitude points?  If so, do I need to call NCL or the travel agency?

i believe you can still get these points, latitude points are contingent on the nights at sea. if there is a problem, i would talk to the cruises at sea office on board.

Basically the UPGRADE Playbook doesn't matter if you booked direct with NCL or through

a TA Big-Box or other source and then there is always the phone call to NCL # make an offer.

How and when and who gets the Upgrade opportunity is still a secret - but if the high end

cabins (big balconies suites Havens) are not selling well the invitation maybe extended

to a larger guest audience.

If you have been upgraded in the past - you more in likely are a prime candidate for receiving

the invitation on your next cruise.

Upgrades are usually offered starting about 80 days and close 48 hours before the sail date.

Method of notification is an email and if you look at the credit card you used for the upgrade

a resulting charge for that amount.

-XXX- that next cruise maybe filled to whatever capacity restrictions are set by the Health

people and NCL and the upgrades may be minimal - yet to be determined.

If you inquire about upgrading at the time of registration the result is usually in the negative.

The Registration Desk is not prepared or set up for upgrades ?

Same when you visit Guest Services upon boarding - a sign maybe found on the desk -

Ship is sailing at capacity upgrades not offered - something to that effect.

Upgrading to a dream cabin can be like winning a game in the Casino - best part is not

having to put out any money upfront until winning the bid.

Also consider that the dream cabin may have the amenities like a suite but the location

well you could have done better.

Often you are presented with multiple cabin classes to bid on -

Only bid on the very one you are interested in -

Bidding on more than one class - NCL may award the bids at its discretion and that

maybe the least of your preference order.

Once your bid is accepted there is no going back.

On another note - how much are you willing to pay to get a dream cabin bypassing the

bidding process - thereby eliminating the rejected bid missed opportunity ?

Best if using the services of at TA have him broker your offer -

If not using a TA then you can make the call to NCL -

Nothing ventured - Nothing gained - - - - -

These cruises coming up will have a different format of capacity and health issues and

I would guess that bidding and upgrading will not be like it was in the past.

Want a better cabin - buy it before it is gone or other happenstance.

It still amazes me that folks ask questions they could easily answer if they simply went to the NCL website and did their own homework.

You know Huli huli I dont usually reply to these comments but Ive been on this board a heck of a lot longer than you and it never ceases to amaze me why anyone would come to a message board designed to help other cruisers and feel the need to say that. Yours is wasting space, theirs is at least about cruising.  If you dont like a question, move on.  There are actually people on here that enjoy helping others. Whether the questions have been asked 100 times or whether they should try  to find the answer somewhere else should be of no concern to you. Someone COULD spend time researching NCL or ask a simple question here and get an answer pretty much right away.  The latter seems more efficient and what harm did it do asking on a board specifically designed  to help others.  Repeating questions on a message board actually helps others who were not even aware of upgrades or lattitude points etc. to go research about them.

Now FYI, I actually did research NCL and nowhere does it state how double points are applied only that they are applied after the cruise.  I did not know if a certain code has to be applied on the reservation stipulating double points hence my question especially since I used a travel agent this time.

Agree with your comment.  I am from the world of "There are no dumb questions".  Even if the question has been asked 10 times, it could spark 10 different responses which would fuel informative discussions.

For instance, considering the double points...there is indeed a promo code applied at booking.  Once you sail, that promo code will kick in and those 2x points will be applied to your Latitudes Rewards account.  In the case of the 2x points, that promo code is "LATDBLX".  One thing to remember, is that promo code only applies to folks that have previously sailed with NCL (and have an account).  The promo code can be found in the upper right hand corner of the NCL Invoice confirmation.  I book direct, so can't comment on what folks who use a TA receive.

Edit: If you booked in the month of May, you should receive the 2x points.

Thank you so much!  This IS exactly the info I was looking for and I would not have found it no matter how many hours I spent on the NCL website!

I am booked on my first Norwegian cruise. I recently submitted the Shareholder Request Form (link below) and received a $100 OBC for being an NCL stockholder!

Yes, yes, and yes. Still $250 for stockholders for 15 day+ sailings. Upgrade bids most likely still happening,,,,,good revenue enhancer for NCL for unsold cabins. Yes, Latitudes still a go! Regarding the entertainment, they spent over a million to produce Priscilla, so if still working for them and whatever their contract was is still in effect, then yes.
Regarding another post of yours about Russ and his Fireballs,,,,,sure, we can have a group Fireball party on our balcony. Somehow, my MB cabin has a 103 Sq Ft balcony. LOL!!
