Woo hoo.

I heard from Roy.  He is settled into a room and feeling ok except for a sore throat.  Understandably he won’t be on his phone tonight so my next update will most likely be tomorrow.

Moved out of recovery about 90 minutes ago and just got my stuff back.  I had nothing to do with @kazu’s first message.  They told me before the surgery they would call my niece (prime emergency contact) after the surgery and Amanda’s message was spot on.  OK except for a sore throat.

Our local nursery carries the cypress mulch.  I’ve also found it at the orange big box hardware, building supply, gardening store.  I’m not sure if I can name it, but the initials are what we use for male spouses. 😜

I have been to Cabo San Lucas 3 times.  The first was in May 2000 on the Volendam, then October 2002 on the Statendam, lastly December 2016 on the Westerdam.  I agree with @Quartzsite Cruiserabout the changes at the port between 2002 and 2016. We preferred the sleepy town that it used to be. 
 

Between 1995 and 2001, there was a lot of change from a sleepy fishing village to a tourist magnet/trap.  By 2001, there was a Hard Rock Cafe followed shortly by Planet Hollywood — bye bye sleepy village, hello tourist Mecca without the charm.  

And, now everything has shifted to the waterfront.

 

I’m just glad we saw it “when”.

I have had open heart surgery for aortic valve replacement. Sounds like your doing great. Great Blessings!

Thanks for all the daily information and photos.

We have been to Cabo San Lucas years ago,  during our  Panama Canal cruise on the Statendam.

Weather forecast was for rain today, but we have blue skies and sunshine.

Will be out for dinner tonight.
