Adventure of the Seas – The First Voyage

Recommended Posts

Do you know if we can still bring a bottle of wine onboard? I tried to order some for the cabin ahead of time and Adventure did not appear on the list of ships at all. Very weird.

Oh be careful with that! I ordered a bottle of Veuve through Royal Gifts, never got a notice. Tried again to order through a rep, never got a notice - then POOF! I got an invoice last week showing that I have 2 bottles showing up on day 1. 😜  HAHA Fun sail away for us.

Yes, we can still bring on bottles. I saw that there is a wine shop close to the pier. Like you I am planning on bringing a few bottles on board.

Did anyone on this cruise get OBC to offset the cost of the Bahamas health visa as was originally advertised when these cruises were announced?

No

That's a nice bait and switch there.

How much is the Bahamas health Visa and is each guest responsible to cover the cost?
The cost of the required health visa can range from $40-$70 per person. It is the guest’s responsibility to cover the cost initially; however, a $50 onboard credit will be added to each guest’s onboard account to help fund this expense.

That would be a nice surprize! I booked on the first day and remember that offer. 😕

I'll have to dig up my onboard account summary but I'm pretty sure I would have noticed $100 OBC. Maybe this was not applicable to our cruise.

I booked day 2

Next door is NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay. The Bird was scheduled to be there in August until NCL cancelled their cruises out of Jamaica. FFF60A45-F1A1-4FF8-94D1-85294F24AD6D.thumb.jpeg.a53bcaf86a8acc259d68be4587399f7f.jpeg

No, not imitation.  I ask every time I order it and am assured that it is real crab.   The imitation crab does not like me, so I would have known for sure if that was the case.

What a glorious treat this has been. I am so cruise starved, and, Bird, you sure filled the bill. Great food porn, tons of info…I’ve been so happy following along!

I still think this cruise is the next  "Capricorn One"............there is no one in any of the pictures.

With O.J. as one of the stars, the line under the movie title "Capricorn One" is prophetic; "The mission was a sham The murders were real". (I just noticed that. Creepy...).

How do they know what an advanced flow rider looks like?

Why not get inline...okay they give you the board and then you go at it.........then ut oh...........guess I'm not advanced. Oh well I still got my ride on the flow rider.

Think it's silly they are not giving everyone a shot at it who wants to try it.

After enough DoD's, I magically turn into an advanced flow rider. Even advanced surfers wipe out.
