For those considering this voyage, I wanted to give you a flavor of a place we visited today that would be well worth your time; the International Rose Test Garden.  
 

Located in Portland, Oregon, it is the oldest official continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States.  

 

Sited on nearly 7-acres, there are more than 10,000 individual rose bushes which bloom through October.  

 

Considering this voyage overnights in Portland at the height of fall’s color season, I can only imagine how beautiful the garden will be at that time.

Fully agree. The Rose Garden is very special. The other very good garden in Portland is the Japanese Garden. Colors there will be spectacular too. Portland Japanese Garden

It's a beautiful spot for sure. We went 2 years ago when we were in Portland. Nice setting and even more flowers than Stumbles posted pictures of!

Rachel, check out my Facebook album for a better overview.  Over 600 varieties and I doubt I even captured 10% of them.  Truly spectacular.
