CCL Shareholder Credit

I am planning to buy the required Carnival 100 shares for on board credit just want confirmation that it will be applied on my cruises booked through the Casino.  TIA

Pre-COVID, a lot of people on casino comps were getting turned down for the shareholder benefit.  Some that had paid upgrades were able to get it and a few on full comps were able but this seemed infrequent.  Definitely hit or miss.  Policy states: "Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer."

I'm only on HAL.  I have indeed had the CCL shareholder benefit approved on many cruises when the price is what my  PCC tells me is my "casino rate".  However, I have NEVER had it approved when on any of the free (complimentary) stateroom offers -- got one coming up in November.  That has been MY experience in many years on HAL.  YMMV.

Thanks I was about to buy my shares this week, we paid to upgrade to a mini suite on all but one offer that was for that category cabin so it sounds like its hit or miss.  Maybe I'll call them and see what they say.

Thanks I was curious about HAL too although I stopped sailing with them a number of years ago.  No real reason just moved on.

Spoke with the Casino Department and was told it was not combinable but I am watching the stock and if it gets to a certain point I will probably buy it anyway.  I can always send it in and if its refused not the end of the world but we have 2 20 day cruises booked so will lose out on $500 (that I probably would have spent in the casino anyway lol)

Go for it.  As Av8rix stated we have Never gotten it on Holland with a comp.  Princess and Carnival are hit and miss.

I have received the stockholder credit on a Carnival casino cruise where I got free balcony, free drinks and $1000 casino cash.  Apply for it.  You have nothing to lose.

My OBC has just shown up on 3 bookings all were casino comped cabins and only 1 was upgraded.

It's always worth submitting every booking.

How long after you submitted your request did the OBC show up?

It ranged from a few hours to a day.

I would submit again if it's been longer than a day.

One more question- Where did it show up?  Did you also get an email confirming it?

I didn’t get an email but if you look under payments and scroll all the way down it would be listed in the last box marked Credits

Thanks.  Mine only shows promotional credit when I look at the payment details ($100 each).  This is a casino cruise booked with my friend’s offer for a free balcony.  I may not get it for that reason.

I received it on all my Casino cruises (Comped) for Princess, I have only been denied by Holland America.

Yes I also received them for 3 of my upcoming Princess cruises! 👏👏👏

I bought the shares this week and yesterday emailed them the information for the 6 cruises we have booked and the share information and it was applied to all later that day.  Very happy!!
