the Pharmacy's at Costa Maya usually do a good bit of business....notice if any of them were open?

That said, still curious as to why a fully vaccinated ship's passengers have to mask up to walk around what is mainly an outside port.

I also wonder why that is as well. Inside stores, yes masks on, but walking around outside?

When you talk to others tonight could you find out if anyone was able to take the taxi and where they were allowed to go. The taxis used to be outside the gate. There was some weird rule where they are able to drop you off inside the gate but you had to walk outside the gate to obtain one. I think it was the ships way to get people to pay for the open air shuttle.  Taxi is air conditioned and fast, shuttle was not. Worth the short walk on a hot summer day.TIA

Living thru your fun until August  when it's our turn 😃

I would imagine the simple answer is if the folks that live on the island have to wear a mask outside, why wouldn’t visitors from other countries have to?

Also correct!  Which reminds me, I have to hit the jewelry store tonight.

wait.. you got a price adjustment in the final payment period (within 2months of sail)?

also, dont spend that $ on overpriced jewelry!

cash it for promo chips at the casino.

- passline in Craps ($25 min) is 3/4/5x odds and .37% house edge.

- play blackjack (3:2 version, not 6:5) at around 0.5% house edge with basic strategy. (it might be $25 or $50 per hand to get 3:2.)

- next best is Baccarat. Bet on the House is only 1% house edge (even with 5% commission).

this is a mindless game you dont even need to know how to play.

the dealer AUTOMATICALLY hits or stands for you depending on your cards. You have no options :classic_ohmy:

Unsure if one of the "porn stars" was at the Retreat Bar yesterday, but she was definitely out of control with the actions and language

I looked around Costa Maya port and did not see any open pharmacies.

It was HOT on tour today.

I HATE the rocking chair in the middle of the Celebrity Suite.

Enough of the negatives for the day lol

It was open…and empty.  I do not trust these “Pharmacias”.  I’ve seen too many people scarfing up too many drugs that we have banned for sale on their counters.

Mask wearing is mandated for Costa Maya by the state of Quintana Roo.  It is a statewide mandate.  I live in the state of Jalisco.  Mask wearing, even outdoors, is mandated in Jalisco as well.

For vaccinated folks, do we HAVE to join the curated tours in order to get off the ship and go walk around Costa Maya?

Thanks!

No.  You can secure an “official” taxi (approved by Costa Maya) to take you where you want to go!
