Laundry package in the Americas averages $7/day or $9/day elsewhere with unlimited amount of laundry but must be chosen with the first submitted bag. Price is per stateroom. There is also a $20/bag price and individual item prices. Usually returned the same day or next day if turned in during evening room cleaning. Strongly recommended to save packing space and always have fresh clothing while on board. Edited July 23, 2021 by Crew News

Hal does have an unlimited laundry package. To find it go into your booking and click on "Gifts and Indulgences" on the left side of the page. When the Gifts and Indulgences page comes up, click on "Packages." When the Packages page comes up, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find the Unlimited Laundry Package there. It will display a price for the package and a link to purchase it.

Tbay Posted July 23, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2021 Laundry by the bag is a good option. Was $20 per bag. The bag is cloth and can be stuffed full. Roll larger items and stuff smaller items around and it will hold a lot. Never had a problem with anything I sent out.
iancal Posted July 23, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) We use the laundry on just about every ship. Usually the bag. Never had any issues on any cruise line, HAL included. Alas...when we return home our bag is typically filled with dirty laundry! Edited July 23, 2021 by iancal
Al Aboard Posted July 23, 2021 #9 Share Posted July 23, 2021 I believe the unlimited laundry is $7 per day if bought in advance and $9 if bought onboard (although you can use OBC if bought onboard). The service is excellent - everything comes back on hangers or nicely folded. You have to fill out the laundry sheet with each bag you send listing all that is inside. They put a skinny little label on the collar/waistband of everything sent down which you want to look for on return and remove - else it starts scratching your skin. They also warn you not to use it on the last couple of days of your cruise so the turnaround time works for them - so you don't really get to use it each day. I have never lost anything sent down and it sure helps in packing lighter, especially on longer sailings. We always left the bag on the bed after we changed for dinner each night.

There is an important point implied here: You don't need to sign up for a laundry package the first day of the cruise, let alone before the cruise. You can save a few bucks by waiting until you are ready to send out your first bag, then sign up. You will be charged only for the remaining days of the cruise. Unless things have changed in the last two years, the daily price is the same whether you buy it in advance or start after the cruise begins. If you don't need to send out right away, the per bag option might suit you better.

Rare Crew News Posted August 6, 2021 #14 Share Posted August 6, 2021 12 minutes ago, HappyCamper49 said: This is a great idea! Just for clarification, you can turn in laundry by hanging the bag on your door handle when going to breakfast and do the same for dinner. Within two days, all of the wrinkled clothes in your luggage will be free of wrinkles. Note that you cannot turn in laundry the day before you disembark but you will have very few items of dirty clothing when you arrive back home, or continue your vacation. If you choose to use the laundry service, you should be aware that all clothing is returned on hangers and have laundry tags attached (except undershorts, handkerchiefs, and socks). It is wise to remove the tags as soon as your clothing is returned or you might find yourself being irritated a bit while out and about. Each ship laundry seems to attach their tags in different locations on clothing items but they are consistent from day to day. Find and remove the tags the first time and you will know where to look for them the rest of the cruise. Pack less and have more room for souvenirs.

Weeks or months later when you wear something you discover the tag and it brings back good memories of being on a dam ship! 😄 9

Just to note that we were told on one cruise to never put it on the door. Leave it on the bed and the stewards will take care of it. We’ve done that ever since. Leave it on the bed before you go to breakfast or dinner and it’s all taken care of 👍

I can't stand it when our dry cleaners staples their tags! We have only used Celebrity's laundry services and they did not use those dratted tags! Rummblestrip Posted August 18, 2021 #21 Share Posted August 18, 2021 I am not sure if it is an NCL thing, but every time on NCL and Oceania (Haven and Concierge level) our clothes came back smelling like they have been washed in a vat of grease. He have had to discard items because we could never get the smell out of them. I will never send our laundry out on a ship.
