Apex Covid Test coming back to USA

Hi everyone,

We are headed on Apex from 8/7-8/14 but our flight home to the USA isn't until 8/15. Does anyone know when they do the complimentary test onboard? When I did Royal earlier this month they did it three days prior to debarkation which means it wouldn't be valid for the day after you got off the ship to come home. Is Celebrity Apex doing it 3 days prior to debarkation too or can you amend the date?

Thanks!

Yes, they do the testing onboard.  I was on the 17th Apex sailing, and they did all testing on the last day.  We debarked on the Saturday, and all testing had to be done on Friday.  I think your test on the 13th should be fine, but definitely check Sherpa Travel. https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions?affiliateid=gateone&nationality=USA&departureDate=2021-08-07&returnDate=2021-08-15&tripType=roundTrip&transitType=noTransit&fullyVaccinated=true&language=en-US

I input your dates, and this was the return info:

Travelers must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid). The test must be performed a maximum of 3 days before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary.

Thank you! As long as it's the last day, it'll work perfectly! 🙂 Hope it was a great cruise!

Thank you, It was a great cruise.  I feel that you will have a great cruise as well.  The ship is fantastic, the staff is as well, and add in the food, along with destination, you really can't fail.   Enjoy!
