4A upgraded to a 4G is that good?

I just called Carnival and they give me a upgrade we booked for a inside cabin and we had a 4a and now we have a 4G on the Panorama Deck is that good?

That is what happened to us when we booked in December. I think this is great! Just step out the door and 1 set of stairs and there is the Lido deck. I also love to take sunset photos and always end up running to the cabin to grab my camera and somtimes miss the sunset..Now it won't be to far to run! We have sailed the Conquest before and it would take so long to get the elevator..when not for us now!!!! This is the best of the best for me! I don't think I will have to worry about noise from the crew washing down the Lido deck, I can sleep through anything with help of a few foo foo drinks!

An inside cabin is an inside cabin. Look the same but the Panorama is probably closer to the pool and Lido deck so that could be an advantage.

All you do is walk down the hall and out the door and you are on the deck! The same thing happened for us on the Glory later this month. We booked IS and were upgraded to 4G. I was so thrilled about the location that we went ahead and had our cabins assigned to us, rather than get 4G guarantees. I was afraid I'd be "upgraded" to an oceanview on the Riveria or Main Deck. Nothing is wrong with either deck (we've been on both before on other ships), but the Panorama Deck is a FABULOUS location as far as I'm concerned.

I would love to know how you got them to upgrade you. WHat did you tell them? I have been on many cruises and have never been upgraded!! Is it just chance depending on who you talk to or is it because of a complaint?

I seen someone else on this same ship did it yesterday she travels a few weeks later than I. I called my PVP and he said no I couldn't upgrade so I called back today and spoke to a other agent with carnival and he said yes let me see. I just told him if he could check the rate and see if the prices has gone down. and he did. give it a try.

cruisine mom: did you book a gauarantee cabin or did you pick a cabin number?
When is your cruise? mostly people get upgraded when the sailing is not doing too good. So they move people up so they can seel those lower cabins cheaper.
And if the price comes down--are you checking the Carnival web page for your price you paid?? when it comes down--get on the phone and call your agent. You will either get moved or get some money back. sometimes both.

We're also in an inside cabin on the Conquest Panorama deck (cabin 1052) for the 6/6/04 sailing. Regarding the comment an inside cabin is an inside cabin, my understanding is that these inside cabins on the Panorama deck are 220 sq. ft. versus the 185 sq. ft cabins on lower decks. The extra space will be much appreciated!

our TA had a special with Carnival for the month of December, book any cat and get upgraded to the highest cat available so that is how we got upgraded. I told my TA to make sure she kept us informed of any more specials like this!

Hey Jeff, where did you find that info about the size of the cabins? On all the other Carnival ships we've been on, all the inside cabins have been the same size. I looked on a few websites, and Best Price Cruises is the only one that has the 4G listed as 220 square feet. Cruises Only and iCruise both have it listed as 185.

There are those that say motion can be felt more on higher decks. It doesn't or hasn't bothered me though in the past.
