Hello,

We will be in Nassau on a cruise Labor Day weekend. Are most of the shops and restaurants open downtown? Thanks in advance.

If the ships come in, they will be open.  I have been there on Christmas Day and most everything was open.

I just contacted John Watling's Distillery on Nassau via FB and they said they would have a pina colada waiting for me on Sept 7!

@cruiselova67please come back and let us know what is open.  We were there in July and only the large jewelry stores and souvenir shops were open.  No straw market nor most restaurants.  EM

How was your visit to Nassau? Any insight you want to share?

We were on a Labor Day cruise in Nassau and many of the shops were open but I don't think the straw market was open.  We went to John Watlings distillery and had a delicious pina colada, bought a t shirt from a shop in town and ran back to the ship because it was starting to thunder and rain.
