Hey All- So a group of 8 of us are sailing next month Athens to Rome.  We know that to fly home from Rome back to the USA, that we need to take an antigen test.  Here's the problem we are staying 2 night in Rome post cruise so getting testing right as we disembark would be awesome as we can use that test to get home.  Any know the testing protocol for Atlas?  Can we perhaps get tested Morning of that we leave the ship?

Appreciate any input!

You should be fine since the Atlas website states that:

"A COVID-19 PCR test will also be conducted at the end of the voyage for disembarking guests" so this should be in the 3 day window that the US requires.

Thanks Joe, I would have thought so as well but when I called Atlas I was told that tests would be conducted “for those on their post cruise excursions and those who were flying directly home”.  That we would need to find Independant testing in Rome. I agree with you and think testing will be offered on the last day.

We are staying 3 post days in Athens. The United website has some recommended covid tests you can purchase ahead of time (Same ones available on Amazon) then you just download the app, set up an online tele-health visit where you take your test while they watch, show them the results and they send you a certificate. You can do it 24-7 from the comfort of your hotel room. Just hoping the US doesn’t decide to shut down its borders in the next few weeks. We come back on August 23.
