exlondoner Posted August 13, 2021 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Did the Grills do lunch? Had things gone as planned, I should have disembarked this morning.
Rare RJChatsworth Posted August 13, 2021 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2021 The Queens Grill didn’t do lunch but instead did afternoon tea 1330 through 1600. Interestingly PG, Britannia Club and Britannia all did afternoon tea in their respective restaurants 1330-1600. No drill but you had to go to assembly point for your key card to be scanned. No life jackets. Am told ship 65% full but this will be ramped up progressively to full capacity in November.. I was also told masks might be phased out in September. Lifts max capacity of four - one in each corner! 1

Someone asked about QG. We have an assigned table for two with no bookings required each day which we can go to as we like. Elsewhere there had been a suggestion there would be no assigned tables in QG. 5

It's very hard not to be jealous but I'm so glad others will enjoy QE which at the moment, IS Cunard. 🙂

Minnie29 Posted August 13, 2021 #16 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Next week we will be embarking….fingers crossed and we can’t wait to be back on board the beautiful Queen Elizabeth. it’s our first time in Princess Grill so any comments on the Grills will be much appreciated. Rare Solent Richard Posted August 13, 2021 Author #17 Share Posted August 13, 2021 While we now have Queen Elizabeth on visual just off Fawley Refinery the real show in front of us is Queen Mary 2 going nose-to-nose with Disney Magic. Shame the light is fading fast but hey, Cunard are back at sea.
Rare Solent Richard Posted August 13, 2021 Author #18 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Easy to understand why some folk are jealous and 'green' with envy, particularly when they have 4 or 5 Cunard cruises booked and, for what ever reason, missed the showcase return this evening. Thankfully I didn't have all my eggs in one basket and, with a little luck, will be 'on the water' this time next week. 😉

exlondoner Posted August 13, 2021 #21 Share Posted August 13, 2021 I thought they weren't allowing back to back cruises. Anyway, last week's cruise was cancelled, so I now have to wait until next May. I'm only jealous because I love Cunard. Alas, I can't afford to have several cruises booked. But I shall enjoy your cruise vicariously.

We’ve all waited so long for the company to get back to cruising and I hope some of the lucky passengers will give us a flavour of their experiences.
