sandc4e Posted August 20, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2021 Just received from RCCL Vaccine Requirement for your October 2021 sailing On August 19th, 2021, the Bahamian government advised that cruise ships will only be permitted to enter a Bahamian port, including private destinations, if all passengers ages 12 and older are fully vaccinated. To comply with this requirement, guests 12 years and older are now required to be fully vaccinated for your sailing. Guests under the age of 12 are not required to be vaccinated, but may be subject to testing requirements. Our records indicate that you are vaccinated and as a result, this does not impact you. Thank you for your cooperation. As we get closer to your sail date, we'll share details regarding additional sailing requirements. We look forward to welcoming you onboard.Sincerely, Royal Caribbean International
GTO-Girl Posted August 21, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2021 I got this email too. I guess somewhere along the way I evidently missed where I needed to do my vaccine status. Thankfully I was able to click the link on this email and get it done.
1ParticularHbr Posted August 21, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2021 We just got that and updated status. Now the big question is….If vaccine is required for our sailing, can we PLEASE sail mask-free?

See Seattle cruises that still require masks indoors even though they've always been vaccination required. Royal has no desire to turn away kids so they won't guarantee 95% on board. It'll be masks indoors on Royal until 1) the CSO changes/expires or 2) vaccines are approved for younger kids so Royal can guarantee the 95%.

Laminating is not a problem. 1 hour ago, 1ParticularHbr said: We just got that and updated status. Now the big question is….If vaccine is required for our sailing, can we PLEASE sail mask-free? Nope! There are still going to be masks in shops, public indoor areas , etc. it's all on the website. Despite everyone over 12 being vaxed there will be plenty of kids under 12 and the cruises are not 100 vax

What about families/children? I understand a vaccine will be offered to 5-11 year olds sometime this fall/winter. That leaves children under 5. M Both St Thomas and Bahamas requirements have exceptions for this under the age of 12, which will change when the 5-11 year old group becomes eligible for vaccine.
