They want adults 21 and older purchasing copious amounts of ridiculously marked up alcohol. They primarily want gamblers making donations in the casinos and blue cards spending money on excursions. Cheers packages would come in number three.

I wonder how much commission a TA can make on a $39 cruise. 🤣 They don't get a cut from the alcohol sales or casino or excursions.

Well a few almonds and jellies, but 98% chocolate buffet. If you like cake, go look for it. It's amazing. And I'm not a big fan of their desserts, but the chocolate buffet is amazing. Yes, indeed! We found “chocolate day” on the first leg and will be there again this week!

No change communicated to us, yet, but reading Carnival's release, our cruise should be fully vaccinated, too.

Guess I'm guaranteed a refund since I can't get an exemption. Kinda of happy about this. Pfizer and Moderna mix is okay. I also have some issues with my immune system. As part of a study for people with immune conditions, I had my antibody titer measured at one and three months following my second dose. I had antibody counts that were off-the-scale high. I had a positive test in July. My symptoms were blessedly minimal, to which I clearly credit the vaccine. Antibody levels are not a predictor of true immunity. Sorry I couldn't find this yesterday, had to reach out and get a link resent. While this study hasn't been peer reviewed yet so needs to be taken with a grain of salt it would appear to show there is a correlation between antibody levels and the amount of immunity a person has. BrotherCraig Posted August 24, 2021 #113 Share Posted August 24, 2021 Looks like a lot more people will be getting the vaccine now with more and more companies making it mandatory to get them. That should help cruising in a big way unless a variant comes along that makes these current vaccine irrelevant. Let's just hope for the best so islands / ports can open back up to cruisers like they were pre-pandemic. Some changes will be with us forever - for better or worse.

They certainly may, but current protocols have only been announced through October - expecting November/December protocols out this week.

Roatan has one of the best beaches in the world, fun and excellent bar hopping, amazing restaurants, some of the best snorkeling in the world right from the beach, Friendliest and phenomenal people, and world class zip lines. Throw in Sloths and monkeys too. I can't get enough. Cruise to there three times in a row - that is how much I loved it. We also spend a week there for a land vacation. Belize is great too if you do it right - amazing islands and snorkeling.

I can book a 8 day for cruisefare under $500 right now... except I'm not booking more. I'm dying to grab some of those deals for solo on rcl .. just not booking anything else. Number of pax on board vista gone from 2900 to 2400. Sorry I dont buy its carnival just lowering capacity. Cruiselines are just trying to get by. Solo fare on 5 days on breeze has gone from 309, to 289, and now several dates show 269 plus taxes. Prices and capacity are dropping each new restriction added. I too hope they add more cheers included fares. I need more incentive. Not to mention that a lot of these bookings are reschedules and credits from previously cancelled cruises. So essentially no additional or new revenue from the booking.

Idk many doctors that will sign off on that medical exemption. I read you need a doctor to sign off. How many people actually cant take one of the vaccines are there that a doctor will say so? Even very sick people are getting dossed. Honestly I'd bet you can count the ones per ship on one hand if any. What doctor will take responsibility for someone going on a cruise unvaccinated?

Any allergy to the vaccine components would qualify. I know at least one person with medical history that wants the vaccine and was finally able the get the first shot. All the planets had to be aligned and blood pressure and everything else within normal range before they would do it. Any doctor that isn't a quack should provide for a patient. How could they be liable for telling the truth. It are the liars you need to watch out for
