I thought it might be helpful if we had one thread that we compile for testing information. Perhaps we could note the city/town and province at the top of each post for ease of reference.

Halifax, NS:

Praxes Medical (praxes.ca)

PCR COVID Testing $159.00 + HST (lab-based, includes Travel Certificate)

Rapid COVID Antigen Test $69.00 + HST (includes Travel Certificate)

PCR + Rapid Antigen Test $199.00 + HST (includes Travel Certificate for each test)

Switch Health (switchhealth.ca)

PCR $160+HST (1-2 days turnaround)

Antigen $75+HST (30-45 minutes turnaround)

Rockdoc Inc (rockdocinc.ca)

Antigen $104.99+HST (30 minutes turnaround)

RT-PCR (rapid PCR) $184.99+HST (next day turnaround)

Thanks for starting this. It is so helpful. A few weeks ago, I tried looking up places in Kingston, but got too frustrated. I will try again tomorrow, and add any I find. Although our next attempt is not until April, it is a TA leaving from FLL.  Will any of these rules still apply? We have mixed doses so need to get answers before final payment.

Ottawa

Shoppers Drug Mart  - Rapid COVID Antigen Test $40 results in less than one hour.

And 4 locations do the PCR test if that is what is required for travel (currently some cruise lines allow you to cruise unvaccinated but you need a PCR Test).

The locations are: Carling Ave, Bank Street, Walkley Road, Montreal Road

Any idea how long it takes for PCR results?

This is the website I got the information from.

It says within 48 hours.

Maybe someone can post how long their test took? I know some on here have gotten the antigen test to go to the U.S., not don't remember reading any PCR tests

Here is what I have gathered so far for Montreal and surrounding areas for Antigen Covid test:

Covid-19 PCR Covid Testing Travel - Montreal (santemedic.ca)   $150.00

Rapid Antigenic COVID-19 Test - Book an Appointment Now (cliniquevoyageur.ca) $149.00

COVID-19 screening for departures at YUL airport | Laboratory, radiology, sleep and genetic | Biron  $149.00 last minute  (25 min)  or 24 hrs results $99.00

COVID Testing in Montreal | Go Test Rapide  Drive thru from $75.00.  At home (mobile service): $ 150.00

None of the pharmacies seen to be offering the testing

Just to add to my previous post, Maple.ca is the company in partnership with Switch Health in Halifax and Greater Toronto area.

They told me they do a RT-PCR test for $159 HST included

Not sure why that info isn’t noted on Switch Health’s website. They only note the Antigen and regular PCR testing info.

Right now, from what I read online at the SDM website, the $40 antigen test is only available in Alberta and Ontario.

Don

Quite right. Fortunately, there are other providers in other provinces, although I believe that SDM is probably the cheapest.

The cheapest antigen test in Nova Scotia is the $69+tax one I noted at the top.

Since my DH isn't vaccinated, my vacation budget has been cut in half, so what's 80 bucks??! lol

I can't find an antigen for under $130 in BC

Hello, shoppers, please?......

Thats because apparently LIfe Labs has the monoply here in BC and so we are stuck with paying the high prices they want to charge.

We had the PCR test done at our local SDM here in BC and had the results back in just under 24 hours.  They have a calculator on their website which gives the earliest and latest time for the results to be back in time.

Sprocket……where did you find a SDM doing tests? Everything I see says it is only  in Ab and On.  How much was the PCR test?  Maybe it is the rapid antigen test only in Ab ans On?  All we need to fly out @nd get on the ship in LA is antigen test I believe.  Get PCR after disembarking for return flight to Canada,. This pCR is provided by Princess.

has @nyone seen where we can access at home, proctored kits from USA?
