I always Include people, gives the review more of a 'Live' experience.😉

I guess both methods have merit

Yes John I agree that’s why I asked. Twangster shoots his the same way. I do want to respect people’s privacy but I also want to capture the atmosphere on board.

I was on the same cruise and no they don't charge -- it's first come, first served.  That may change if they see a revenue opportunity.  🤣

I think I read Odyssey was charging. I know Oasis wasn't pre Covid. We snagged one twice.

That's why I asked because I would like to do the same for my review in November. I get it if you do not want to answer I was just curious if there was a better time to capture empty venues.

The Bird just collect photos as The Bird walks around. The Bird has lots of unflattering pictures of fellow cruisers. The deck cabana pictures above were taken on embarkation day. A lot of times, it is a matter of taking a picture that is angled to crop off live people.

As an example, the photo of the Freedom of the Seas Promenade below was taken yesterday afternoon. And meets The Bird's standard for posting.

Need some Mommy and Daddy time alone on the cruise? Make sure to register the kiddos with the Adventure Ocean Club  there are different areas and workshops for the younger kids and a lounge with outdoor patio for the teens  make sure that they go on the first night to make friends  4966357D-AD14-4ED4-A925-0786438CB73D.thumb.jpeg.4de24ea6f9a6a8d55f990cdfc8e8c00c.jpeg0D7385B0-E32B-433F-8981-65DB56E35624.thumb.jpeg.69d8295b424c5f7997d9e530c447723b.jpegDC4D15BB-4F72-42FD-AFA5-455C978BD85C.thumb.jpeg.1b220954e66b61d75d7d552d85c0b963.jpeg20FCD099-2103-4BFE-9728-0E00DFC5C074.thumb.jpeg.ce24d1d291b0284b49be5b0a51544ec0.jpeg54960206-7718-4576-B031-7AFC5677DD51.thumb.jpeg.e424ace6d27a1a3fc3efcb353a07eb90.jpeg7DBDB286-EE43-48BE-8889-7268AC70BDC7.thumb.jpeg.85f70ae2d91b16b68d99c2307a51ee5b.jpegC664A7E1-81A5-47B7-9DB3-4489E1277024.thumb.jpeg.646b500aef77c4dba52410c9b1a1a59d.jpeg349AE5FD-A3C2-4893-A0FB-EB87D5F847CD.thumb.jpeg.50f0dc12ab1a04fddf83b0280d5fac47.jpeg

This is such great info, thank you so much for posting! I sail 11/5 and this will be a HUGE help! Apologies if I missed it somewhere, but do you know how many passengers were on this sailing?

I inquired multiple times. All I got was around 1800 passengers (that's 48% of the 3782 double occupancy or 40% of the 4515 max capacity). It was great. (Our Adventure of the Seas cruise with 25% was even better). Great service, no crowds, no lines.

Although they asked guests to reserve shows, there were never enough people to even have crew bother to scan sea pass cards at the doors.

When the Windjammer was open, only half of the buffet serving line was open. Windjammer was closed for dinner and closed for lunch when we were at CocoCay.

@BirdTravels We got on as you got off. Did you eat in the MDR? Did any of the waiters ask you to give them 10's on the comment card? Last night ours didn't and tonight he did. Ugh, I hate listening to that spiel. I'm not sure why he mentioned it since we had absolutely no complaints the night before. I also thought Royal did away with having them ask.

How early did you get to the Beach Club and were there still beds by the pool available? We really want to snag one!

We got to the club at 9:40. There were some beds available on the deck (next to the bar). I did not look over to see if the ones between the restaurant and pool were occupied.

We chose to be down on the beach rather than being in the middle of the hub bub of the bar and pool.

Our waiters had their rehearsed script. They asked that we complete the survey. They did not ask for all 10’s.

Thanks, it’s annoying when they ask for 10s and they spend about 5 minutes talking about it. We are doing the b2b so we’ll see if the new waiter asks for them. I hope not.
