It was very nerve robbing… keep your vaccination Certificat in hand ALL the time if you are vaccinated. Same goes for your cruiseticket and your passport. I was asked 16! Times AND THAT IS NO JOKE! After my vaccination certificate… 

 

i really hope for you that it will go much smoother in marsaille!

Dinner:

Since none of the starters appealed to me today I asked if I could have a small portion of the risotto as a starter. Answer:

no problem!

 

then I had the cornflake crusted fish:

Baaabyyy it’s full on this ship… but then MSC seems to have identity problems with this ship or might be schizophrenic with it… main restaurant seaVIEW, staff wears nametags from MERAVIGLIA and one announcement just said welcome to MSC Orchestra…

Or maybe I boarded several wrong ships??? Could have happened too…

Good morning marsaille!

since I am awake since 6 AM I was able to see the sunrise! Usually that means I go to bed soon… instead I went to breakfast at the buffets.
 

The hygiene concept worked great! Until a group of four came in… then the staff scrambled… and not just the eggs…

i hate coffee… the ultimate test for staff on a Cruise ship? Ask for a Red Bull at breakfast!

MSC Seaside marketplace:

Juuuust because I could I had a second breakfast at the SeaVIEW restaurant:

Herring and eggs Benedict ( yes I know I am weird)

Me: …in the service restaurant I have to get it myself… and at the Self Service Buffett I get it brought… sure! HOW ELSE SHOULD IT BE???

i am sitting at the poolbar right now, alone on a table. Guy walks by and just puts his Glas on my table while passing and keeps on walking…not saying a single word…

DOUBLE BAAM! My waiter from dinner walks by and puts this in front of me… THANK YOU JOEL!!! If it wouldn’t have been entirely inappropriate, I would have kissed him right there and then until his toes curled!

Since I have an Aurea cabin I booked my massage yesterday and will have that at 10:30 AM. For everyone that has Aurea booked too: keep in mind that you are entitled to 80 minutes instead of 50! Look at the FAQs section on the website and make a screenshot! I had to proof that I am entitled to this! Apparently MSC Shore office doesn’t like to talk to the ships…

After being worked like a stubborn sourdough loaf, I am now positively relaxed!

 

At least I was until I wanted to have some lunch… and got DECLINED ENTRANCE to the SeaVIEW restaurant BECAUSE I AM ALONE!

poor Lizza from guest service… I like her and reeeaaaallllly will hold back from screaming at her… it’s not her fault and she is the only one that I might not scream at… hence why I did not go to any of her colleagues…

@Germancruiser I asked for your Tea! All bars have a small selection of tea (in bags) except the champagne bar! No real China though… you will have to do with the boring regular generic mug… and no teapots… BUT you can order several mugs at once!

I typically cruise by myself and would be beyond furious if I was told I couldn't dine in the main dining room. Keep enjoying your champagne!!!

I was just now discussing this with DH and said I would be looking to speak with both the ship’s m’D and the Hotel Director.  Doesn’t a solo have to pay double for their cruise?!!

 

Looks like you’re making the most of PremPlus - good for you.  It’s being done away with from the Winter season onwards.  We plan to get good value from it on Seashore next month.

 

Is Veuve Cliquot still available by the glass at the Champagne Bar or is it just Moët or Nicholas F?

Usually it’s 90% single supplement for solo cruisers. Thanks to some connections I just pay 40% though… still… it’s a lot of Money!

 

Talked to the maitre d. He knows which guy it was and will have a very stern talk with him. Alexander the maitre d and I know each other… and some point of OUR life’s I was HIS BOSS!!! 😂

 

He was extremely pissed when he heard what happened and I actually had to calm him down… and he stopped me from throwing that guy over board…

 

Well he BEGGED me not to do that… in front of his colleagues… they laughed their asses off about us.

 

Made me quite happy to put a smile on their faces. 
 

Alexander knows that I am not someone that wants a compensation of some sort. That’s why he was so extremely pissed that, of all people, it had to be me… he knows that he can offer me the world and I would decline. He took the criticism that I gave him as it is. A absolute no go. He remembered what I teaches him and I seriously hope and pray that he can teach that guy what GUEST service is. 
 

That guy actually tried to worm his way out by saying, he thought I had just embarked in marsaille… Alex had to suppress his laughter SOOOO hard when I just lookedat that guy dryly and asked him ‚…and? What if I had? I am STILL entitled to have lunch…‘. He just gapped at me… Alex cought ‚Queen Of darkness‘… 

 

Apparently he has told his team quite a bit about me upfront, at least they are all calling me Lucifer now…😂

 

It’s by the way coincidence that I sit at one of his tables. We just found out about each other today! Poor Lisa from guest service almost had a heart attack when we saw each other and hugged!

 

Since I know the job myself, I know that neither Alex nor Lisa are responsible for that guys behavior. Lisa was very relieved about that. She was almost in tears after we talked because she felt so bad. Thing is also that I know my devastatingly honest mouth… I can get pretty mean while telling the undeniably truth. And because I KNOW THE JOB I can use terms that make everyone working in Hospitality cry… and I don’t feel sorry at all for that. What makes it twice as worse for them… because they then know that they CAN‘T worm their way out of it…

 

By NOT taking ANY kind of compensation they then start to scramble in embarrassment… and I just laugh and Walk away!

 

There is a reason why I have this magnet on my cabin door:

 

 

 

 

both Vauve and Moët are available at the champagne bar. Moët rose is by far the most expansive… I will be at the Champagne bar later and then upload the Menu for you!

Since I skipped lunch, thanks to the situation earlier and had it in liquid form instead, I splurged in dinner:

 

 

roasted veal as starter

 

trout as main…

 

suckling pig with risotto as SECOND main…

 

 

black forest gatou as dessert… somehow I find the dessert quite… obscene 😂🤣😂 am I the only one that Sees it???

Jesus I am brain fried… should maybe tell you how the food was!

 

FANFUCKINGTASTIC!

 

The veal was seasoned perfectly!

The trout was perfectly moist!

The suckling pig was melting in my mouth like butter and the risotto was sooo creamy!

The gatou was a liiiitle bit dry but the gelato made it better… still find the presentation obscene… I think the waiters and Alex are still on the floor laughing and crying after I just blurted out dryly, that it lookes like a penis whit balls during full swing dinner service…

DEAR LORD! I just had a heart attack… arrived back at my cabin and found that!

 

Off to find Alex and Lisa now to throw them a bottle of Champagne against the head! I TOLD THEM I DON‘T WANT ANYTHING!!! How am I supposed to eat that after 2! Main courses!!! I am ALREADY DRUNK!!! No need to put ANOTHER bottle of champagne on top of that!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
