Miami is a huge international city, with tons of media, and the cruise capital of the world. This will get drowned out in NYC.

 

If they'd had their terminal ready, brought in Branson, hired Pit Bull...would've been Epic.

I don't think the NY event starts until Thursday.  I would imagine parking is cheaper in NJ than NY and that they will probably move it over on Thursday.

Who said their won't be a similar Miami event? I wouldn't be surprised if they announce one for late Sept/early Oct right after the NY event.

Seems like the ship is sitting in the midtown cruise terminal now.  

Any idea when she is scheduled to depart for Miami?  I may try to get into the city tomorrow or Sunday to get a peek at her even if I'm behind a fence.  Good excuse to walk around with a camera for the day.

Revvel is doing parties on her all weekend. I am going on her tonight for dinner at Extra Virgin and one of the shows. tomorrow there is a pool party and a dance party tomorrow night, they also are having people stay in suites and balconies Saturday into Sunday also. hoping to get some time walking around the ship and will be taking pictures if able.

Thanks for the info everyone!  Just got a reply for Virgin Voyages on Twitter that the Scarlet Lady will be departing Pier 88 Sunday (9/19) at noon and heading out of NY harbor for port Miami.

Well, considering Florida can't get any worse, and October 6 voyage is only 17 days away, I would say there is a 95% chance it will sail. And 90% change the rest of October will sail..

I just checked the New York port webcam, and missed Scarlet Lady, but I was able to zoom out and find her on the marine traffic grid...

Yeah, due to a work emergency I was unable to get any photos of the ship with the skyline in the background. 

I was very unhappy about this.

I missed out on getting a re-Tweet from Sir Branson!  LOL
