TCruzin Posted September 15, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2021 Hi Soloadventurer My email for the bid came on August 2nd and the cruise is on October 2nd.
Rare styles27 Posted September 15, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2021 We sail 11/14 and we received the offer about a month ago so for us it was 3 months ahead of cruising. We didn’t bid because we were upgraded for free last cruise on MSC in 2019 so fingers crossed it happens again.

PRH Posted September 15, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2021 We got ours a week after booking a November cruise in August. Not sure when they make the decisions—2 weeks prior to sailing?

jgallagh1944 Posted September 15, 2021 #7 Share Posted September 15, 2021 We're on the Divina out of Port Canaveral on this coming Sunday, September 19th. We received the upgrade bid e-mail the beginning of August, and submitted a bid at that time. We modified our bid a couple of weeks ago increasing our offer to hopefully improve our prospects. We were notified this past Monday, September 13th, that our bid was accepted and we have been upgraded to YC. The waiting time to hear from MSC can be a little nerve racking as it gets down to a week before cruising because you don't want to book restaurants, drink packages, or internet (all included in YC) until you know if your bid is accepted. Our first cruise on Divina a few years ago was in the YC and it was absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to a similar experience this coming Sunday.

Our one time on Divina we were given an upgrade to YC from an aft balcony and it was amazing. We weren’t notified until the day before our cruise. I received an email with the room change. Didn’t even realize what YC was at that point but it turned out to be the best cruise experience for us. Please come back and review when you get a chance! TCruzin Posted September 17, 2021 #9 Share Posted September 17, 2021 I cannot believe it. Received the email @ 5:15am this morning stating we have been upgraded to YC Deluxe Suite. We were in a handicap cabin on the 10th floor because my partner has mobility issues. We were placed in a YC handicap cabin on the 15th floor. We are sailing on 10/2. kidless Posted September 18, 2021 #14 Share Posted September 18, 2021 We have Divina in October and Meraviglia in November booked. We received email to bid for both right after final payment. October we didn’t bid on because we have Yacht club balcony and none of upgrades even showed available. We only have interior yacht club on Meraviglia so we were excited to get the offer and wanted to bid. The minimum bid was to high for us @$765 a person. If we bid minimum plus what we already paid we were only saving $200 total for cabin. Really didn’t feel that was a good deal. So we will stick with our inside and are just happy to be cruising!
