Celebrity Reflection Signature Suites. Thoughts?

We've booked a Signature Suite on Reflection for a March sailing. We normally book aft suites and lower decks, sandwiched under and above other suites. If anyone has experience with the Signature aboard Reflection I would appreciate feedback. Most importantly, would you book a Signature Suite again?

My very first suite was a SS on Solstice this was ten years ago , had a aft , just loved it , I have now sailed in most suites up to penthouse. All Celebrity suites have great perks, great suite dining room Luminae and suite lounge, concierge etc.

Thanks, George. I appreciate your feedback!

I am hoping to hear from someone who has booked the Signature Suite on Reflection (the only ship that has Reflection and Signature suites). So far it seems to be escaping those who have done so.

I had friends in 1 a few years ago and so visited for drinks.  The living area felt small , 5 people for drinks and that was about it.    No useable vanity area in the bedroom.  I would much prefer a Royal Suite.

I was curious about that. We normally book a suite with a double sink bathroom, such as a Royal. We got a good price on this stateroom but we may move up to a Royal before the cruise. We don't have friends, so that part is not a problem. 😄

I agree of course but the basic perks are still really nice much better than most lines , cabin is not that big but royal suite has to be a few thousand more, we have our second royal suite in February on summit.

We have sailed in a Signature Suite and enjoyed it.     Nice part of the suite is the tall ceilings (about 2 feet taller than a standard Suite.     The area was carved out of the Sky Lounge.

I was initially concerned about possibility of noise from late night partying in Sky Lounge but was very quiet.    The room is on a short hallway with just the Reflection Suite and the Signature Suites.     The hallway can only be accessed with your room key.  The tall ceiling make the room feel larger and more airy.

The Bath has a clear window into the bedroom but you can flip a switch and it creates an opaque window.

Not sure if they still have them but when we sailed they had adjustable beds but if I remember they were not a split king but both beds would adjust at the same time.

The only complaint I would have was not the suite itself but that there are many more Suites on Reflections than other S-Class ships but Luminae is the same size.   The restaurant manager at the time was out of control and even when the Retreat host called down and told our table was ready we would have to wait up to 30 minutes.   It got so bad the host insisted on escorting us down each evening and even then had to call his boss on more than one occasion.     Maybe it was just the manager and since then we have refused to sail Reflection again.

Thanks, Jim.

I was curious about the higher ceilings. I just read about them earlier today and was curious how that happened. It now makes sense.

I was curious if anyone might say something about being directly under the X Club or down the hall from the Sky Lounge. It's good to hear that the hallway apparently breaks up some of the noise. Any thoughts about the teen club overhead?

Interesting about the bathroom window. Not a problem unless we're in port, I suppose and even then there wouldn't be much that could be seen.

We are typically at Luminae as they open. We eat early and might see a later show. I think the restaurant manager can make a huge difference in how quickly tables turn. If we run into a problem we may just book Murano or another restaurant, instead.

The Reflection in normal, non Covid, times has too many suites and you do notice the crowding in the Luminae and Michael’s Club.   If the capacity is restricted it might be acceptable.   Have always been curious about the Signature Suites.   We like being on a high deck to feel the motion of the ship.

Here was our take on the signature suite- we sailed in this cabin in 2017

* Tall ceilings were nice to have

* Living room is small- oddly small, couch not as comfortable as the SS, CS or RS

* Bathroom was big and luxurious, shower great

* Bedroom is nice since you could see outside (which is a downfall of the solstice class celebrity suite)

* Balcony was good, DH loved the "jacuzzi" on the balcony

(just like the royal suite)

* The suite just felt oddly shaped- other cabins we feel at home- never quite got there in this cabin

* The private access to the hall was nice and super quiet- although if your hands are full kind of a pain to have to access the hall with your card-

* Having the spa cafe nearby was great for a morning pastry, cup of coffee etc. that we took back to our cabin

* The free bottles of booze were nice but you can only drink so much. When in a signature or royal suite, we take one bottle home since there is no way we can drink it all!

All in all we prefer the celebrity or royal suite over this cabin. If the price were right we would book again even though not our favorite cabin.

Happy Sailing!

I have to say the high ceilings really made the room look larger.   At one time that are was part of the Sky Lounge.   I was initially concerned of the possible noise but didn't hear a thing.    It feels very exclusive to have a key locked hallway door adjacent to the Spa Cafe.

Speaking of the windows, it really isn't a problem as you can click a  switch and they become frosted.    The guest in the Reflection Suite one night forgot to flip the switch and put on quite a show for the bridge and SS suites.  All I can say it wasn't pretty.   LOL

We are trying to decide between the Signature suite and Celebrity suite sailing 2/26/2023.  Would love to hear more comments.

I'm going to guess @K12Guy will come along and give you some more information as he just sailed in a Signature suite last week.  I know he was very happy and feels like he'd do it again without hesitation as he really enjoyed all the amenities that came along with the Signature vs a CS. I was able to stop in for a little tour and it was very nice and would consider it also.  If you are debating between a CS and this, I'd say the extras that come along with this push it well past a CS.

We dislike the CS on S class as the bedroom is very enclosed.  Did it once, wouldn’t do it again. However, if you want two separate sleeping areas it can work well as the bathroom has a Jack and Jill set up.

Never seen the signature suite so can’t comment.

The biggest difference between the two suites is the perk level. The CS only gets the same perks as the Sky Suites, the Signature Suite gets the same perks as the RS and PH. This includes unlimited speciality dining, in suite bar set up, free laundry. We particularly loved the unlimited speciality dining on reflection with the additions of the Lawn Grill and Porch (we were in a RS).

We decided to book the Celebrity Suite.  The main reason was the location midship.  The perks of the high end suites are not a big incentive for us.  Our TA did a fabulous job picking the angled suite with the HUGE balcony.  Counting the days......

Big difference.

Considering the signature - but I am a bit concerned by extra movement of the ship being higher up.

Currently in an aft sky on deck 10 as all RS suites etc. are fully booked.

We would eat all the time in speciality - but whether we will get tables being in  a Sky suite is my concern. Can probably have more options open in a higher grade suite.

In a higher suite you are contacted by the shoreside concierge about two weeks before cruising and you can send in your dining reservation requests as well as details of your in suite bar set up etc. We board each cruise with all our speciality dining pre booked, exact venue and times sorted. Only on one occasion (over many cruises) have we had to change a reservation and that was because of a special event in Tuscan. Certainly on Reflection and Silhouette with their extra dining options we felt the benefit of the included speciality restaurants, even at lunchtime it was nice to go to The Porch or Sushi on Five.

With the present price of speciality dining, if you plan on dining in speciality venues most nights rather than Luminae then that is a large bill in a Sky Suite. If you can pre book a dining package it should bring the cost down. In a Sky Suite if you  give your butler your list of speciality restaurants requests on boarding or head to any speciality venue you should still get the exact times you want or near enough not to matter.

If I was you I would price up the difference in cost between a Sky Suite plus dining package vs Signature Suite. I would then consider how much you would enjoy the extra bits of the higher suite package like the in suite bar set up, included laundry…Booking a RS/PH works for us because we do dine in the speciality restaurants, love the bigger rooms, in suite bar set up and enjoy the other perks. However, we have friends who are very happy booking balcony rooms and simply book a dining package…On boarding they usually get the exact times and venues they want too. I think it is more when you try to book a venue last minute that ‘room status’ can come into play. The  ‘right’ room for anyone is the one that gives you what you want at a price you are comfortable with…Only you can decide that.

Re Signature Suites,  hopefully someone who has cruised in one will reply. I would be happy in one (and I am quite motion sensitive) on a cruise with expectations of fairly calm seas but wouldn’t for something like a Transatlantic…

We loved Reflection, whatever option you choose, hope you have a great cruise!
