Transportation from port to Phillipsburg

I need information for best way to get from the port into Phillipsburg. I seem to remember from other times in port  that there is a water taxi from the port to downtown Phillipsburg. There may be other options as well. I'm not interested in touring the island this time but have never spent time in Phillipsburg and would like to go there for a few hours there on my upcoming cruise.
