Have you heard any capacity numbers for your sailing? How’s the ship feel with that? Easy to get seats in the bars and lounger chairs at the pools and solarium?

Last number I heard was 2081.

it’s interesting because we were on Allure in August with 1500 and this “feels” more crowded. But finding seats anywhere is really not a problem. We have been to the Casino bar a few times, no issue with seats. When we walked past Schooner bar seats were available. I am in the Suite lounge right now and there are 7 people here.

Giovannis was as full as it could be because at least 6 tables are not being used.

Solarium yesterday afternoon had about 9 people in the pool, 3 or 4 in the hot tubs. Chairs were available, more loungers in the new section forward of the pool. We like shade so we went to the area one deck up by the solarium bar.

Sorry for bad weather day, hopefully it clears up for you.  Good decision on not renting car and driving, doesnt sound relaxing, best to stay onboard and be catered to.

Maybe a spa day.  Do they still offer spa discounts on port days?

Looks like the port is clear, we are that big blue dot in the 🌧

For those interested in what Studio B looks like for an “Everyone” show!!! Two of the three sides reserved for unvaccinated with lots of blocked seats. Other side is for vaccinated with no blocked seats.

The times for the “V” show are at 10:45 days 1 and 2. Too late for me. There is an earlier show later in the week but it interferes with dinner for us.

Thank you so much for posting this picture! We are on Oasis in December and Looking through the Compasses posted lately, I wasn't too thrilled with the vaccinated only showtimes. I was wondering what it would be like if we decided to go to 'everyone' showings

From today's cruise compass, MyTime Dining is 6:45 to 9:00 for vaccinated guests only, on Deck 3. Reservations are required,

Decks 4 and 5 are for "everyone", meaning unvaccinated kids and their families.

Hi mac_tlc, Could you confirm if the late seating in the MDR is everyone please if you have time? I've noticed in the compasses posted lately that looks to be the case, but I wanted to make sure as we are signed up for late seating right now, but trying to get changed to my time dining. We're on a wait list for that. Thank you so much for taking time out of your vacation to post and answer questions.

We sat in the vaccinated section. It was the most crowded section. Not surprising given there are not that many children.

I keep seeing info for the UDP, and when I sign in on Royal site, I do not see this option. Now, I guess it is because the cruise is so close, and I booked it last week.  But for future reference, can anyone tell me how much it is per person?

It’s probably just sold out on the cruiser planner now. For my upcoming cruise it’s been sold out for a month or so. I had bought it but didn’t like that I couldn’t make advanced reservations and knew I wouldn’t use it for lunch so I made reservations at where I wanted and only save $15 per person with the UDP so I canceled the UDP and paid for my reservations. I wonder if you can purchase it on board?

Late Seating in MDR is at 8:00pm and is designated "E" , for everyone.

I just checked my cruise planner and it shows 6:30 - 6:45 MTD reservation. I guess we’d just have to wait until 6:45 to be seated but this past weekend I upgraded us to a GS so I’m going to hopefully switch those MTD reservations to CK. I’ve only got 2 because I booked specialty restaurants for the other nights. Thanks for the info!

you post reminded me that we can order from MDR in the suite during open hours. some nites i may not mind 630 but normally i do eat earlier so this would be a good option for me.

Maybe, but by then, hopefully, a bunch of kids will be eligible to be vaccinated.

not in 2 months from now.

The approval is expected around Oct 31, which doesn't give anyone much time to get their kids vaccinated in time for a Thanksgiving cruise, for example. I am worried that RCI will make vaccines mandatory right away, not giving us 5 weeks for the full inoculation.

That might cause mass cancellations for families with kids trying to cruise during school breaks.

Giovanni’s tonight . Was very good. Located in one of my favorite places on the Oasis class ships!

I ate at Giovanni's on Sunday Sept. 5 sail and there was social distancing with every other table not available.  However, some diners opted to eat al fresco and once it began to rain, the MD had some coordination problems as to what to do with those diners.  The inside area of restaurant was full.  Also, for precautions they did not want to have Paxs hanging around the entrance.

Ps:  It's so nice to have those huge umbrellas around Central Park.

Did you have a 70's night on your cruise?  We always looked forward to that.  So glad you had a great time.  We are on the Oasis on Oct 3 and can not wait since we have not been on a ship since 2019.

70’s Disco Inferno was last night, 10:45pm in Studio B
