Did you receive "See Europe Your Way" flyer earlier in Sep with EZ-Air credit?

I am aware Princess can send out special offers to selected groups of Past Passengers (at least folks with Captain's Circle numbers).

This one came in snail mail and is a UL9 code (SAVER) or UP9 code (PLUS).  It is basically the current Fall Frenzy offer, plus additional EZ-Air credit of $200 ($100 each way).  I have changed our current bookings (the first and last ones) for OCT 2022 to this promo.

I am wondering how many others might have received it.  (I have read about the Alaska one for next year where the EZ-Air is up to $600 I think it was).  What got me curious is our best friends are also Elite with similar Princess history and live only two hours away in southern Ontario and they didn't get it.

If you reply that you got it and your profile when posting doesn't include location, a City/State combo would be helpful.  Just trying to get a sense of how widespread this was.

****************************

Another thing is, I think we all know when we check pricing on Princess.com and are NOT logged in, we see general public pricing and when we DO login, we see the pricing for Past Passengers, which generally includes a discount.  Has anyone heard of NOT seeing this price change when logged in?  OR, seeing it for SOME voyages and not others?  Thinking I have read on here recently somewhere where one or two at least had reported having "messed up" Captain Circle flags (or whatever) and wasn't providing them with the prices they should see.  It was typical in past to have $100/pp lower fare if a Past Pax.  Lately, I have seen it less than that for some 7-night voyages, but still seeing $100 on many.  But, again, my friend is seeing NO price difference when logged in on SOME cruises - but not all.  Seems odd to me.

And, YES, she is going to follow-up again with Princess, but the agent today was almost rude and unhelpful to say the least.  That, too, is unusual.  Also, going to get the TA to try check the pricing they see.  But I have also experimented with third-party booking website and I see diff price when enter Past Pax number, but not for her.  Weird IMO.

Thanks for sharing any similar experiences.

Did not get it. Cannot find it online. Are Transatlantic eligible? Is this just for Canadians? I'm in Clayton CA USA

No, you won't find something like this advertised online.  Whichever members get these promos, they will have the eligible promo booking ref code attached to their Captain's Circle member number.  Thus, when checking cruises to book, all eligible booking codes are available for that member.  Some are going to be general - such as Fall Frenzy which is advertised, but may only apply to certain Princess international markets.  I recall that 3FF used to be offered in Australia at a different time of year than N.A. (we used to see it in SEP and I was momentarily thrown off guard when I saw a big poster for it on a NZ cruise in FEB).

So, yes you can "find" it online because if you went to book/price an eligible voyage for this promo on Princess.com - and you qualify - and you are logged in, the website will show you that promo.  IOW, when I price an eligible Europe sector cruise and I see the SAVER price box and the PLUS price box for a cabin category, it lists the benefits which are the $50 OBC per person, the PLUS things if looking at PLUS side, and the $200 EZ-Air credit.  But I was solicited with the promo ad flyer for this.

Of course, I could still book under the regular Fall Frenzy and not take the $200 EZ-Air credit - just a different booking code to be used.  (On Princess.com, we don't get to select from a list of booking codes - we are offered ONE Saver code and ONE Plus code only).  However, TA's can see all eligible codes - and that includes Princess in-house TA's (or CVP's).  And, if you know of online booking engines that display multiple fare options, you can often see more options as well.

And, no, this one I mentioned is not just for Canadians as the brochure contains US prices and also mentions that Canadian guests can book in CAD.  But it is clearly not for all Canadians, nor is it for all Americans.  I don't suppose the recent Alaska 2022 was for everyone either with it's EZ-Air bonus credit.

I just tried it and it did not come up.  Do you know what 09/02/22 TA on Enchanted Princess room category BW solo saver rates are?

i live in Los Angeles, had not received an offer mentioned above as well as others.

one time i even call Princess to check if i am still on the list for mailing/emailing, was confirmed that i should receive it.

i used to see the difference in pricing after logging in but not anymore (saw it prior to cruises pausing).

I threw something away from Princess last week. Did this come in a smaller form factor - though, maybe that was a Viking flyer. Still get so much mail.

It came prior to last week as I have been working on this for more than that.

It was a flyer about 6" x 9".  It opened once and then each interior leaf opened to left and to right, so there were a total of four 6x9 panels printed on both sides.  Picture of Coliseum on front page.

Working on this now, along with some other fares.  It's complicated since the TA you inquire about is included in the special promo I received, so it's not going to quote me your rate as I don't have your CC Member number.  Working with another number I have that doesn't have the promo.  Also checking other voyages not in the promo (non-Europe).

I think the key is whether the voyage of interest has Captain's Circle Launch savings or not.  This is where we members save something over general public.  When a Special Promo is attached I think those are "hidden" from general view.

I will update a bit later when I get through my analysis.

You will know if you have it by doing a mock booking on a Europe voyage in 2022 and when you select a cabin category and the two boxes come up for SAVER and PLUS, just look at the detail lines in the boxes and it will indicate the EZ-Air promo of $200 if you have it.

ETA:  Of course, make sure you are logged in

@Ombud

A couple of general points.  A voyage has to have Captain's Circle Launch Savings code attached to it in order to get a discount as a CC Member.  AFAIK, every voyage when first put up for sale has this - from observation of many releases over the years.  Now, I suppose those Launch savings can be withdrawn at some point.

In terms of Europe 2022, I have a special offer that went to X number of Princess members - not everyone.  Some people probably got other offers I didn't get.  What I believe happens - and I know this is the case on Princess.com where we see ONLY ONE pricing plan offered - is that my offer code supersedes or replaces the CC Launch offer code, so I don't even see that on Princess and some other booking sites.  Your Transatlantic falls under the promo I received, but you didn't get that one it seems, so set that aside.

The next question is, does the voyage you are looking at have CC Launch fare code?  Perhaps.  Not every available booking code appears on all websites.  For example, I was looking at one voyage in Caribbean - so that I would not have the Europe promo interfering with quotes.  On one site, I saw fare choices such as Public, Fall Frenzy, and CC Launch.  However, the CC Launch only showed up with the PLUS fare versions and not the SAVER versions.  But, on Princess my quote was lower for BOTH Saver and Plus after I logged in. If you were to look at REGAL, 14-night, Feb 5/22 in Caribbean, you should see a different rate when you are logged in versus when not logged in.  That difference is your CC Member discount based on LAUNCH fare codes.

I know you have probably read a hundred times on here that CVP/PVP don't have any better rates than outside TA's.  This should be 100% true.  It may just appear that way as we don't see anymore than a single rate offered on Princess.com.  Some other booking sites show more rates.  One site I was on only showed the PLUS rates, so you'd have to call in to get the SAVER rates - for example.

For your voyage, the regular rate is $3,596 + $225 and I think there is a Member rate of $3,178 + $225.  The best thing is to contact your agent and ask what rate quotes they have.  TA's can see every applicable rate in POLAR and that is why often people report better rates than shown on Princess - even before any TA discount is applied.

I get "targeted" promo's all the time, I always felt they were usually associated with your most recent cruise's future cruise wish list selections when you do your check in online pre-cruise, and your CC history ... (pre-medallion ).

Also It used to be it seemed I would get  targeted promo offers when I had open un-attached future cruise deposits.. I always felt that Princess used that future cruise deposit list as fishing expedition to snag bookings for anticipated slow bookings on their future cruise schedule with targeted offers.

Just speculating all this of course, as revenue management algorithm's remain one of the great mysteries of the universe 🤪

Thanks friend. I've got midship but non-member rate covered with FCC. Asking PVP if a better option is out there (mostly interested in EZAIR comp as that's cash). I'm guessing the difference is TA vs PVP.

That's the price we sometimes pay

I was looking at sooo many numbers and cruises, I don't think the lower number is correct.

And no something like a member rate or a promo anyone will be able to sell you.  The only difference with a TA is they can discount either in cash or additional OBC (and some like the infamous BB give store credits in lieu).

Toronto area —- no flyers in snail mail in quite a long time. Several casino offers by email in past 2 months.

———-

Is there a thread on this issue for those flying from N America for Princess European cruises 2022?

I am booked for March ‘22 cruise from Southampton, & have excellent price & perks. Final due at Christmas.
Just concerned about having to test pre flight ( if required), to find out we have to cancel cruise
What happens to my FCD, FCC & balance I pay by credit card if I test positive pre flight?

Flights are fully refundable/ changeable- so not an issue

i received one in the mail, a couple of weeks ago.   It said $200 off flights.   We actually got $250 off!

Booked a flight to the UK for a cruise in July!  Was going to go on the same cruise at the end of this month, but glad now I postponed....

Don't know about any issues flying to Europe next year and I wasn't about Covid restrictions - just whether some pax not seeing Past Passenger (Captains Circle Launch) savings.

I spent some time with a Princess rep today.  Quoted a Caribbean sector cruise where Fall Frenzy applies as well as CC Launch and I got the lower fare.  Had her plug in my friend's Member Nbr and no Past Pax rate.  Immediately, she saw this as wrong but hadn't seen it happen before to her knowledge.  Need to chase after Princess as must be some system disconnect.

These are "Nxx" fare codes I am talking about.

Specific campaigns sent to certain members are "Uxx" codes.  My friend doesn't have what I have, but our daughter has a "Uxx" code - just not same as we do.  She has only sailed once so far.  And she lives in same general area.

Not everyone will have the Europe campaign code.  Not everyone will have the Alaska campaign code or the Japan code.  I don't think I have the Japan code, but I don't think that interest is in my profile either.  Who knows how they decide which members get which campaign codes?  But they are not universal, whereas something like Fall Frenzy, or B.S.E are universal.

I think the lower nbr is not applicable.  Out of time right now.  I was seeing too many nbrs this morning.  LOL.

@Ombud  So all I can tell you right now is the fare is $3,596 and IDK if there is a CC Member Launch rate.  Hard for me to get that since I have a special promo "Uxx" code which overrides (and beats) the other codes.

I cancelled my spring cruise and river cruise (b2b with 2 days between). It looked like it was going to be a hassle getting COVID tests when I wanted to spend time in Europe before. Princess's prices went down and they wouldn't honor the price reduction - I would have to cancel and rebook. Too many hoops to jump through.

Did you get this offer Steelers posted here?
A Member of my roll call from UK confirms Canada is in green list for entry without preflight covid test - could change for USA too before Spring. Maybe you can rebook after more restrictions are lifted.
