Constitution Laundry

We are scheduled to leave for our Chesapeake Bay Cruise on the Constitution one month from today, with sailing the next day (11/14).  One question is how much to pack, which depends on whether we can wash our clothes (or have them washed for us).  We will be driving to the ship, so we could overpack; but we'd rather not do so.

 

Does anyone know what the clothes washing facilities are on the Constitution?  Thanks

Washers, dryers, and soap (free, of course) are available on the Constitution's upper deck.  Even though it's not shown on the deck plan, it adjoins the fitness center, which is shown.

 

Just an aside: Dress is very casual on the Constitution, so no need to pack much, especially for a short 8-day cruise.  But if you need it, it's there.  Haven't actually used the Constitution's laundry facility ourselves, but we did do our laundry on a 3-week Mississippi cruise on Melody.  One tip we learned there:  Machines tend to get very busy, so best to go there early in the morning.

What is the laundry service like on the Constitution? We will sail on her in October and prefer not to do our own laundry.

No laundry service. Only do it yourself machines. But machines are only on some of the newer ships.

Also available on some of the not-so-newer ships, such as the Constitution.
