If you are vaccinated there are many venues where no masks are required. They are marked outside the door as “vaccinated only” areas. Also the shows have the vaxed and unvaxed separated on different floors so no mask required if you are vaxed….

NCL just extended their 100% vaccination requirement (no unvaccinated kids) indefinitely.

We’ve been on 3 RC sailings since resumption. The rules are generally being followed (by us as well….we knew what they were going in). Casino offers on RC, but celebrity was not cheap to purchase (although worth every penny). I realize I’m not in the majority of cc folks, but I don’t see the general public putting up w/ these measures for long (masks)….not when there are other viable options. Again, cc folks generally disagree….the general population - maybe not so much. Edited November 4, 2021 by bucfan2

They are very quick to tell you to put on a mask. I went up to get more food and forgot my mask at the table. I was barely at the food station and I was told to go get it. I heard many people being told to put it on. They don't let it slide.

There will be 2 in your room or maybe more if there are more people. We bring our own and yes they can be fabric. They just can't be gaiters.

welshrich Posted November 4, 2021 #20 Share Posted November 4, 2021 We recently got off Anthem, it was a requirement for all adults to be vaccinated and everyone was requested to wear a mask indoor in public areas, we had to make reservations for all the shows and they did ask people to wear masks unless eating or drinking but in the theatre a lot of people took them off once seated, it did seem to be observed everywhere else, even in the iFly where you put the mask on over the helmet and took it off just before you went into the wind chamber. I assume they designed mask-free ships, as they've shown success w/o a masking requirement. matt1 Posted November 4, 2021 #23 Share Posted November 4, 2021 Personally, between work and going out shopping, etc., I go through 1-2 masks a day. The surgical masks I’ve bought are extremely comfortable, have a very soft inside, and are great with the “breathability factor”, so they’re no bother at all to wear. I’ve stocked up on over 200+ (and have different colors) after a few sales with this one company, so I’m bringing plenty of my own with spares.

You don't seriously think that any cruise line is currently sailing ships that were "designed" as "mask free", do you? The ship-building process from design by an architect to sea trials is years. Celebrity's newest ship, Apex, just departed two days ago for its inaugural cruise. The contract to build her was awarded in 2014 and construction began in 2016. So I would hardly say she was "specially designed" to be mask free. Surely that isn't what you meant...

They have to be able to identify these people as well.
