Emeril Lagasse on Thanksgiving Mardi Gras - hosting special Chef's Table and cooking classes

I saw this a day or so ago, has it not appeared here on CC yet?

At any rate, we're onboard - and with luck our pre-booked Thanksgiving Chef's Table will be "special".  🙂

When I went back in to check this morning on Carnival, all Chef's Table reservations showed as SOLD OUT. The last time I looked, that was not the case - not sure if that's a coincidence, or if people are hedging their bets in an attempt to have a unique experience.

I will add, when I went to my Cruise Manager, I was ready to book every night in the Chef's Table (and cancel the 6 which didn't "hit")!

OMG I like your style. That would be terribly exciting and fun if true. Lucky you.

It says the proceeds from the Chefs Table will benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital. Excellent chance to raise some serious cash by auctioning off the seats to the lucky 16.

Yes, I was not real clear on that part of it. If nothing else, it will be clear in another 12 days 🙂

I'm betting you and Cheryl will be sitting at that table. Cost be damned!

I was not sure if that would be the case or not, but as providence would have it... !

A fellow at our table mentioned that he purchased about $1,000 in raffle tickets in an unsuccessful attempt to be in the cooking class.

@Tom-n-Cheryl I thought he was fixing Thanksgiving dinner for you? Wondering if he is doing any other Chefs Table events during your cruise? I wasn't aware of him doing classes onboard. Glad to see they raised some extra money for St. Jude's. Your post shows you won a raffle at Emeril's. Did they allocate the seats by onboard raffle? Picture only shows 10 guests.

We had the Chef's Table booked for Thanksgiving. There was very little known about the event prior to the cruise, and not much more after boarding!

It's my understanding that Emeril got off the ship today in Puerto Rico.

There were two tables of 10, each which had a photo with Emeril. Shortly after the gumbo course, the photos were taken and he was gone.

Other than the gumbo, the menu looks like the regular current Chef's Table menu...

That's my understanding as well. The fellow sitting next to me said he had the gumbo the prior day at the bistro. And that this one was leagues apart from that.
