CounselorCruiser Posted November 12, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2021 We've done 8 transatlantic cruises on Celebrity and RCCL and are thinking about doing one on the Onward. We enjoy the big production shows, the variety of lecture series and other big state acts. What's the entertainment like on Azamara being that it's a much smaller ship? Thanks for your guidance. Rare uktog Posted November 12, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2021 The "production show" is smaller scale using the six strong group of singers and dancers. The stage and show floor is small so the show is more an extended cabaret but is very good. Guest entertainers also join, mostly very good but all with shows that work better on the smaller stage. One example of something that works so well is the magic which is much "closer up". The Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Director will do a show each - these are generally very good. In addition, there will be a group playing in the Living Room (Deck 10 front) and Den (site of the former casino) each night During the day, there are lectures, the quality of lectures in recent years has been variable, ranging from excellent to dire and is an area - in my opinion - that Azamara could do much better in. There are some other day time activities run through the entertainment team in addition to Trivia (eg ship building projects) and there is usually an art tutor onboard with fun classes.
