Sun newbies - where to meet on ship?

A bunch of us on our roll-call were wondering where to meet-up after embarkation and most of us haven't been on the Sun before. We want somewhere casual where we might like to hang out anyway to drink and people-watch! Is there a BBQ party in the afternoon of embarkation? Any suggestions from past cruisers? Thanks a bunch....

Just got back from the Sun Western Caribbean 2/11-2/18/06. They have a sail away party (with bbq) on deck after the lifeboat drill.

 

DH and I were on the ship by noon and there wasn't much going on until after 4 pm. The bars are open as is the Garden Cafe (buffet) and Outdoor Cafe (buffet). There is a large eating area outside at the back of the outdoor cafe on Deck 11. I would probably meet in the pool area--near the bar and the food.

I've had luck meeting up with people I've met on this board at Champs bar, forward, just above the pool. ;)
