Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted December 6, 2021 Author #51 Share Posted December 6, 2021 a few more random pics of food, ship and ports of call from my mom's phone. It was her first cruise with RCI, and she loves taking pics. Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted December 6, 2021 Author #52 Share Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) We really liked getting a dessert and some tea or coffee at Park Cafe and just enjoying a quiet moment: Some desserts were mislabeled, for example, a pistachio mousse was labeled as lime. 🙂 This was an MDR dessert, some vanilla souffle: Sports court, lots of teens seafood cake at MDR Please excuse the lines in the photos. You can't see them with a naked eye, but they definitely popped up on both of our phones. The lines were moving - must have been from the lights in MDR. Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted December 6, 2021 Author #53 Share Posted December 6, 2021 Some desserts at WJ, I believe they are gluten-free and/or lower sugar: Park Cafe has some sugar-free mousses, which were pretty nice: Our Thanksgiving menu was very festive - on a fancy paper with a fancy ribbon: This was a pumpkin-squash soup for TG dinner: mom said it was very good. Mom's breakfast at WJ: Mom also snapped a pic of the coffee beverage Mocha Creamice I bought at the Promenade Cafe which I mentioned in one of my posts: you can see the degree to which the carton straw disintegrated by the time we got to deck 9 from deck 5. It simply melted.
Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted December 6, 2021 Author #54 Share Posted December 6, 2021 We couldn't go to the Solarium Bistro with our 10 yo, but my parents definitely tried it out:

petuniaflower Posted December 13, 2021 #58 Share Posted December 13, 2021 This is great, thanks OP! Can you tell me which of the main shows are only offered once, so I may plan accordingly?

Can you tell me which of the main shows are only offered once, so I may plan accordingly? The ones we were interested in were all offered at least twice (ice shows, aqua show, Fourever headlining show, Finis Henderson headliner act, Grease), but some showings were for Vaxxed only. Vaxxed only were mostly the late night shows, starting at 10 pm, but some were offered at 8 pm. Now, I didn't look very closely at any of the comedian acts, because we aren't interested in those. It could be that the adult comedy show may have been offered only once. The smaller venues, like the Pub and Dazzles, apparently offered superb small act entertainment, like a collaboration between the classical guitarist Wojciech and one of the Fourever members, but we couldn't go there with our unvaxxed child. We did catch the most wonderful classic guitar performances on the Promenade and in Central Park. I highly recommend it. ETA: if you really want to dig that info up, you can look through the daily compasses I posted. 🙂 Edited December 13, 2021 by Itchy&Scratchy
fadedimages Posted February 9, 2022 #60 Share Posted February 9, 2022 (edited) On 12/3/2021 at 11:06 AM, Itchy&Scratchy said: Coco Cay!!!! Yay! We didn't do the thrill park, mostly because I am not paying $100 for what is available for free on the ship, and my kid doesn't like water rides because they won't let him use goggles and a nose clip. He hates water in his eyes and nose... So, we went to the beach instead. The water was freezing cold! We went to the Chill Island beach first, but it was super crowded since everyone just kind of goes there first and stays. The small lagoons were full of people, and it was EXTREMELY windy there, which, when combined with cloudy weather, made it for a very cold beach break. When the sun came out, it was super hot and burning, but then it would hide and it would be very cold. Weird. Chill island lagoons DS and grandma snorkeled behind the rocks and saw a ton of different sea life. They loved it! We use full size face masks for $20 off amazon so they can breathe easily. So, while they snorkeled, my DH went farther up the beach and found that Breezy Bay part of the Chill Island wasn't breezy at all - still water, no wind, still had some chaises available. We relocated there and didn't regret it for a second. Fewer people in the water, a very short walk to the Snack Shack and bathroom. Breezy Bay Wow, the Snack Shack. I must say - I didn't expect the food to be good. We are spoiled by Princess food on the ships (Regal Princess), but their Princess Cay buffet is far from desirable. We loved the Snack Shack deluxe chicken sandwiches - kind of like Popeyes, with lettuce and tomato, grilled veggies, mozarella sticks, fries and funnel cakes. In fact, we loved the funnel cakes so much that we had 2 each. I had one while floating in the bay in an inflatable ring - what a pleasure! Then we got some buns and fed the fish in the water. That was fun! Seagulls decided to join in on the fun, but we shooed them away. We fed them later on the beach. Noisy bunch. 🙂 Both Harmony and Independence were at Coco Cay that day. That's why it was so crowded. Just look at the size of Harmony compared to Indy! We were supposed to be on Indy in Nov 2020, but L&Shifted to Harmony 2021. We loved them both! Just wondering. Were the beach games like beach pool and bowling located near Breezy Bay? Edited February 9, 2022 by fadedimages Typo

I remember a small basketball court right across from the Breezy bay, next to the bathroom, and teens/kids were definitely shooting hoops there, but we didn't go beyond it. Bailey & Sophie Posted February 11, 2022 #62 Share Posted February 11, 2022 On 12/2/2021 at 10:51 AM, Itchy&Scratchy said: Chicken fingers from kid's menu. Too fancy for my kid and no honey mustard. He tried them but didn't eat them. Loved the review. We're booking Harmony tomorrow for a Nov cruise. FYI: there is usually honey mustard sauce in the Windjammer in the salad area. It may help with the chicken fingers (which look more like ham steaks!).
