Waygu in the Steakhouse?

This is a question for anyone that has eaten at the steakhouse recently (preferably on the Valor)...

Is the Waygu available?  I know with supply chain issues it might not be.  Just wanted to know a recent experience. We have reservations on the Valor our first night.

On the Magic, the people that had it hated it or requested to send it back for something else. Waiters started not recommending it.

We had it on the Pride in early November and it was nowhere near as good as in the past.  David's was very disappointing.  I never complain, but I did then.  I hope the OP, Monalis, has a much better experience!

It was available on Mardi gras last month, so I would assume it will be available on Valor as well. When I had the Wagyu in 2018, it was more tender and flavorful than the Filet in the steakhouse.

It was on the Miracle in September but the wait staff didn't recommend it... said it was more like a hangar steak than Wagyu.  I went with the filet instead and was not disappointed.

Made the mistake of ordering and reading a book called Fake Food recently.  

 

It was very well written but now i am suspicious of dozens of types of US food items labeling.  

 

Waygu COULD be "american waygu" which doesnt come with any regulation.  My meatloaf tonight could be served as Waygu Losf domestically without penalty.  

 

(I do think it was genuine angus however! Ha)

They do identify it as Australian Wagyu.

It’s routinely called “tough” and “flavorless”; there is low quality wagyu out there and this apparently it is.
