Copenhagen to Amsterdam

We are doing cruise in May ending in Copenhagen.  Three days later we are on a river cruise starting in Amsterdam.  We need to decide between flying or train. We have a hotel booked in Amsterdam.  Any thoughts?

In these “environmental times”, it is a sympathetic thought to take the train from Copenhagen to Amsterdam.  Unfortunately,  it takes 11 to 12 hours and at least two train changes.  Flight take an hour.
I have not checked prices but assume it will be significantly cheaper to fly than the train.  
If you book flights, make sure that you also include checked luggage - pay attention to size and weight.  Some airlines also charge for hand luggage.

Having overweight when checking in at the airport is expensive.

Thanks for the suggestions.  Looking into it ,the train is much more economical.  I am trying to find out if the train would be scenic. Our travel agent could book a 4pm flight for us which means sitting at an airport for most of the day.

There are pros and cons to both trains and planes.
 There are flights from CPH to AMS throughout the day - no need to wait until 16:30 - times depend on the day of the week but there are normally departures at 11.30 and 13:20, for example.
Train is marginally cheaper than flight, but pay attention to the total travel time (approx. 11 hours by train) and not least the number of train change along the way - a minimum of three changes (with luggage) - might be more.
The train ride between Copenhagen and Amsterdam is not particularly scenic.
