OKCowboy Posted February 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2022 Does anyone know the dry dock schedule for all Viking Ocean ships? Also interested in finding out the nature of retrofits and any new major changes on board.

The first Special Survey/Drydocking is required after 5 years. Best way to find drydockings is to find the date the ship was handed to owners and look for a short break in the itinerary just under 5 years later. Until the ships reach 15 yrs, the drydocks are every 5-years, then they change to 2 in 5 yrs. Drydocking have mandated work required by Class. In addition the owner may schedule additional refurbishment. The Star, Sea and Sky should have already completed their 1st Special Surveys/Drydocks and I'm not aware of any major changes in those 3 ships. One of them has received the additional drawers that started with Viking Sun.
nextariel Posted February 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2022 (edited) The Viking Star arrives in Montreal on 9/6/2022 and does not sail again until 9/30/2022. What would they be doing for 3 weeks? Edited February 19, 2022 by nextariel

She departs same day for Ft Lauderdale.

Yes, she had to be going somewhere, as she isn't due to drydock for another 2 - 3 yrs and Montreal is not a normal location for cruise ship refits.
