afdds Posted May 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2004 I read somehere a few months back that parking at the Miami port was cash only. I think I read that some parking lots would except credit cards and some want cash only. It all depends on which garage you are told to park at. Can anyone confirm this for us? I'm in my single digits! I'm so excited I can't sleep! Cruising89143 Posted May 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2004 I used the parking garage in March when sailing on the Triumph. The price was $12.00 per day cash only paid at the time of parking. Not sure if anything has changed in the last two months. dan40 Posted May 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2004 afdds, When we sail out of Miami, we rent a car from Avis here in Vero Beach. When we drop the car in Miami, they shuttle us to the ship and pick us up when we return. The 2 rentals down and back have run $84 total. And that was when parking was $10 a day. Got in this habit when there was much construction at the port and our car would be filthy after 7 or 10 days in that dust. The port is cleaner now but I like leaving the cars in the garage at home for about the same money. jedgar Posted May 14, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Below from the Port of Miami web site. Parking: Facilities are available at all terminals for the parking of vehicles for passengers boarding ships and for Port visitors at rates designated by the Seaport Director. Parking for cruise passengers is $12 per day. Parking for visitors is $5 per day. Cash or credit cards are accepted (Visa or Master Card only). Parking for oversized vehicles is approximately $24 per day. (depending on overall dimensions) All established parking rates will be posted at each facility and applied to the day a vehicle enters the parking lot and to each succeeding day it remains on the lot. Credit card payments are only accepted at Parking Garage #5 and Parking Garage #6. **Only Visa and Master Card are accepted.
