Phaedra_11 Posted February 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2022 Hi there, if I have some Euros left over at the end of my trip, am I able to use them for my onboard account? Thanks so much.
novicetraveller Posted February 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2022 You can use it on your onboard account. Just remember to ask RCCL to charge you in Dollars and not let them do the conversion, as it will be more expensive.

Any cash would have to be converted to USD - it can probably be done, but the conversion rate could be poor.
novicetraveller Posted February 28, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2022 I made an assumption that you were referring to a Euro card and not Euro cash. If you have Euro cash, just bear in mind that you may get a poorer rate.
SRF Posted March 1, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2022 Unless you figure you will never travel back to Europe, keep the Euros. Or give them to the crew as tips.
Joseph2017China Posted March 1, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) If I have extra "cash" in any currency, I use it for tips. However, in the case of Euro's, I just keep them for the next trip. the official currency of the ship is USD, so the answer is no, you can't pay in Euros. The ship will change it to USD, than you can hand the USD to the ship to pay off any balance Edited March 1, 2022 by Joseph2017China
novicetraveller Posted March 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2022 There are a couple of Islands in the Carribean that accept Euros. St Maartin (1 part of the Island does) and Martinique comes to mind.
