Info about Canada's new covid rules for Cruise ships?

The PVSA in its current form is outdated. The law should be repealed and replaced with something new that takes care of the few good things the current law requires. However, at this time, a foreign flagged cruise ship having to visit a distant foreign port before returning to the US is really stupid. Just think of the fuel that could be saved in some instances. Aren’t we all for less carbon emissions.

Those consecutive cruises aren't offered for a reason: they are a violation of the PVSA.
No foreign flagged ship is allowed to transport a passenger from one US port to another without stopping at a distant foreign port. Canada is a near foreign port.

Several years ago I did a Boston to Montreal and back to Boston.  It was one booking for a 14 day cruise.

edit continued reading thread and see the difference.
