Connection Times and Changes

I apologize that this is somewhat out of place in this forum, but does anyone have recent experience with making connections in Newark (EWR) and Paris (CDG)?  We just received our flight arrangements via SS, and we're a bit concerned about how long we have to go through point-of-entry matters.  We have a solid 2 hours in CDG to make a connection from a transatlantic flight to our connection to Bordeaux, but we only have 100 minutes to go through all the point-of-entry rigmarole in Newark to make our connection from transatlantic to Houston.

We may see about giving us a little more breathing room in any case, but I hesitate to pay the rather large change fee if we really don't need to.

We do have Global Entry, so that makes things a little easier in Newark, but the return still sounds particularly tight.  It's been 10 years since we've been through CDG, and that was in transit to Turkey, so I have absolutely no idea what's going on there these days.

You should be fine on both ends.

In Paris, you will have inbound Schengen immigration along with a security screening.  Over the last 10 years, the signage at CDG has drastically improved, so you will just need to make the change in terminals for the flight to Bordeaux.

In Newark, your GE should expedite everything, so I would be fine with 1:40 coming in.  Plus, UA has a number of flights between EWR and IAH in case your inbound is delayed.

As always, the rule is "Don't dawdle".  Get to your departure gate and then consider food or other options.
