fuglynchalenged Posted March 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2022 Is there an email directory or a list of phone numbers that have supervisors or employees who can help me without ripping me off or saying I can’t do something I was told I could do? For days now I have been trying to talk to the casino about an upgrade I am entitled to on a comp cruise. I booked the comp cruise onboard with an agent who said when the price goes down I can call the casino off the ship and get a free upgrade no problem. When I finally got a hold of someone they said the upgrade will cost me extra and I better hurry because the ship is almost sold out, and that this price will be the best possible one. It turns out she was mistaken and I was owed a free upgrade. When I called back the casino person said that if I hadn’t bought the upgrade I would have gotten it for free, even though when I bought it the woman said i had to pay and if I didn’t there would be none left. It turns out there is lots of space on the cruise and the woman was saying things that aren’t true. She said there are only so many spaces for comp cruises and if I didn’t act fast and pay, I’d be sol. Now I feel like she played me just so I’d buy something from her. lying to me to get me to spend my money and making me believe if I didn’t buy an upgrade right there and then that I’d have no other choice but to keep my inside cabin because the comp cruise spaces were running out, is extremely shady if you ask me. I earned enough points for the free cruise, so how is it possible that they only have so many available?
sandebeach Posted March 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2022 Casino rooms do fill up for sailings. I am a little confused with what you are asking about. If you got an Instant Rewards certificate on your sailing, and made enough points to get a free interior with the Bonus Promotion that they have been running since October or November, you should have been able to book a free interior and just pay taxes and fees. If you wanted to upgrade to a balcony, you would also pay for that and, depending on the ship, upgrade cost can be $200 to $650 per person. I have never received a free upgrade to the next level room, but it may have happened to other people.
